The driver will purchase the main gate entrance ticket for you and provide instructions on the walking route, including where and when to reconvene.
You will hike independently. Begin by reaching the Great Wall to witness the sunrise. Afterward, continue walking for a total distance of about 6km. If you are not in optimal physical condition, you may hike a shorter distance and return to the same gate.
From April to November, you will enter through the middle gate and exit through the east gate (one-way hiking);
From December to March, you will enter and exit through the same gate - the middle gate.
It is advisable to purchase food and drinks in the city beforehand, as the availability of items for sale at the site is limited and the schedule is very early.
Remember to bring your passport.
