Family friendly progresso experience - Great experience, nice non crowded location to relax. Food was good. Drinks were good and hosts friendly. Recommend.

A perfect place for a perfect day! - Several from our cruise met up at the family home of the tour company. The buffet was authentic. The meal included fruit, salad, quesadillas, nachos, chicken, pork & steak. It was perfect for all ages. The pool was refreshing. And the drinks flowed. All had a wonderful time. We are planning our next trip back already. It is the best excursion we’ve ever going on. We had no problem making it back to the ship.

Relaxing atmosphere with great food and service - We had a great time here. The service and food were both great! Everyone was so nice! They also passed out some tequila shots that were so smooth. Our friend ended up buying a bottle to take home. Highly recommend!

Best way to enjoy your cruise into Progreso - Simply the best way to enjoy your day when cruising into Progreso. Eat, drink and be merry. Best beach, service and food.

Great FAMILY FUN!!! - Food was Amazing! Ordered the shrimp tacos and guacamole, delicious!! Tequila shots throughout the experience! Has a great friendly staff!! Atmosphere is a good calming vibe! If you want a more private experience come to SERGIO’s Beach Party!!! Pools available for kids and adults!!! Private beach area to relax!

Awesome tour! - This was our 1st cruise & trip to Progresso. Sergio's tours were exactly what we hoped for! So nice being picked up right from the port. Always felt safe, great tour with Jesus. Would love to return and will recommend.

Highly reccomend for shore excursion - Amazing excursion! Knowledgable tour guide with great English, comfortable van, on-time and convenient pick up, friendly service. Could not have asked for a better day in Progreso! Awesome communication before and after the tour as well

Not sure we’d come back - Enjoying our visit, but questioning why we prepaid at a $60 rate when it’s only $40 to book at the port? And yes, both of the groups bought the all inclusive beach club with blue wrist bands. $40 - great value $60 - would have be better if the other alcohol and menu items were included Guess our next visit we will wait and book at the port - or look for a different option. Also while the all-inclusive buffet mentions fish - there was none and when I asked was told not today.

SHAME ON CARNIVAL - Progreso is NOT near ready for cruise ships. Skip this Progreso AND Sergio’s altogether. - Sergio’s is a Disappointment. We paid $25/person for pickup/dropoff at the port to a resort with a private beach, pool, showers and restaurant. I even asked for a picture before arriving that made it look like beautiful white sand and crystal blue water. The picture was as close as we came to finding what was advertised. I received a What’s App saying there had been new regulations that prevented Sergio’s from picking us up at the port. They assured me it was a quick “free shuttle” to the city and they would meet us there. It was a little hassle and we couldn’t find our guide, but eventually we connected and headed out. The walk to the van was 1/4 mile in the heat with my 79 year old mother-in-law. Ouch! Our guide tried to make the best of it and after I asked he said he would give us a round of daiquiris for free. Much appreciated. After a 25 minute drive to the west side of the island (it truly is the middle of nowhere) we saw the “resort” nestled between two houses. In fact, the “resort” is just a house. The “private beach” turned out to be 20 feet wide and so rocky you cut your feet without sandals. The water so murky you could see even with googles. Definitely NOT what I expected after seeing the picture. Oddly, the pool was way too warm and the hot tub too cool. The food overpriced, but the shrimp tacos were good. I felt badly for those who paid full price for the free drinks and buffet (which consisted of a single folding table). Partly because there was nothing more to do after three hours and because we didn’t want to push up against the boarding deadline - we headed back three hours early. They dropped us (in the middle of the road) at the free shuttle where we waited for TWO HOURS in 100 degrees. People started losing it. I messaged our guide and explained the situation and the LONG hours in the heat. Instead of refunding us for the misleading advertisements and inconvenience, he explained that it was our choice to accept the “back up plan” of the shuttle. At no point did the “back up plan” include an explanation that we would be waiting for hours in the heat with a recreation of Lord of the Flies. I wanted so much to like Progreso because I know it needs an economic boost. And I wanted so much to like Sergio’s and support one of the original local business. But other than a few free drinks there was little to like and the customer service was finger pointing and blaming everyone else including us for accepting the terms. So… skip Progreso altogether and if you just can’t help yourself then at least skip Sergio’s.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER - We arrived at the spot listed - had to wait on the driver for over 45 minutes only to be told that Sergio's Beach never received our order/email. Was told by the representative of Sergio's that they didn't have anything prepared for us. This trip was for my husband's birthday / our anniversary. I cancelled our trip the day before to Mr. Sancho's Beach in hopes this would be a new place to go when coming to Progreso! Apparently, I cancelled the wrong one! I have NEVER been so embarrassed and humiliated! I will NEVER use Viator again..... A complete joke of a company!
