You might choose to have lunch at a recommended local restaurant, visit the main square to observe the locals, wander the nearby green hillsides to the picturesque Ras El Maa Waterfall, or explore Plaza Uta El-Hammam, home to the remarkable 15th-century Grand Mosque. This mosque and the surrounding buildings were constructed by Jewish refugees who, alongside Muslims, fled Spanish persecution and sought refuge in Chefchaouen.
