• Archaeological Site of Chavin - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing at 8 am from the private bus station for a First Class Huaraz tour. The journey leads to the ancient archaeological capital of Chavin de Huantar. The tour begins by heading south from Huaraz, passing through the traditional villages of Recuay at 3300 meters above sea level. Cross the Santa River to the left, encountering the typical village of Huacapampa. Continue through eucalyptus groves and sheep herding communities, joining the paved highway. Travel through highlands rich with pastures and straw, visiting the Querococha Lake at 3980 meters above sea level, where there will be a stop for photos of the stunning landscape. Proceed to the highest pass, Tunel de Cahuish, at 4500 meters above sea level, a significant point for the hydrographical division where waters on the west flow to the Pacific Ocean and those on the east flow to the Atlantic Ocean. Continue through the narrow valley in a zig-zag manner, reaching the Rio Mosna along the riverbanks, and arrive at the Archaeological Site of Chavin, located next to the modern district of Chavin, at 1 pm.
