The tour was a disappointment. You can go to the old exchange nd provost and get a museum and learn just as much ‘dark’ history. The guide knew less bout pirates than at least three of the six people on the tour and his main infatuation was with taverns and prostitution. Something he openly talked about opening a museum focused on. He came off as very sexist- and I am not someone who is easily offended and am well aware that a twisted tour should cover the unsavory failings In the city’s history, but the story telling was subpar and the guides demeanor offputting. There wasn’t even mention of slavery beyond a mention of the imperfection of the bricks... for a city with such rich AND twisted history, I expected more.
