Wonderful - book it - This was the highlight of our trip. Chef Parker is very knowledgeable and presented information in a lighthearted manner. The food was absolutely delicious and much better than any restaurant we went to during out stay. We actually canceled our dinner reservations at night as we were too full to eat again after the wonderful lunch Chef Parker prepared. I highly recommend this experience.

Excellent! - If I could give this food, wine and history tour a ten, I would. It was hands down the best tour I have ever attended, and I have done many. Chef Forrest was very informative about the city of Charleston, and took us on a 2-hour walking tour. The next 2 hours were spent in his private kitchen, where we watched him prepare a 3-course gourmet meal while educating us on the food that he was preparing; the food was accompanied by champagne, and red and white wine. The charge for the tour might seem expensive but considering that a similar meal alone would cost easily $125, I think that the cost of the tour was fair. In fact, I plan on doing it again the next time I visit Charleston!

Undiscovered Charleston with Chef Forrest Parker - There are not enough words to describe how amazing this tour was with Chef Forrest Parker. He is a walking encyclopedia. A born and bred South Carolinian and graduate of the University of Charleston. Not only that, he is an incredible chef and super funny too! This walking tour weaves together the history of Charleston with the culinary influences of that history. The first part of the tour takes you along the waterfront then throughout the french quarter. It concludes with the most delicious meal prepared by Chef Forrest and paired with wines. It was just delightful. If you enjoy history and love food you must take this tour!!!!!!

Culinary history and delicious lunch! - Fabulous way to spend the morning! Chef Forrest was full of knowledge and humor throughout our walk around the French Quarter. He shared culinary history as well, which was incredibly interesting. The food he cooked afterwards for us was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to try the recipe at home but there’s no way it will be as good.
