Great, easy walk. Beautiful scenery. - Our son loves pirates and this was our first visit to Charleston. We got to see a lot and the weather was perfect. We had no trouble following the clues. Didn’t get a sticker though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Amazing way to explore the city! - We booked this on our drive to Charleston and it was well worth it! My family (Me, my wife, and two daughters, 8 and 11) enjoyed the experience and it was a great way to see the city without the complaints. The free museum was very interesting but probably not best for younger kids. My older daughter wore Converse and complained so I recommended comfy shoes. Note: the area in the main photos of the prison was closed but we did go on a weekday. Overall this was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend!

Exceptional Activity in Charleston! - We booked this scavenger hunt on a whim, and it was well worth it. The activity is essentially a self-guided tour of South Charleston with an interactive twist, including answering trivia. You’ll do tons of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. Totally recommend.

We Escaped Charles Towne! - This was a fun experience for you family of four. You get to see parts of the old town, but with a twist. Being able to visit places made famous during the days of pirates with the added story of trying to find clues and escape the pirate hunters adds to the charm of walking through the city. Would recommend to history fans and scavenger hunters!

Amazing Pirate Escape for a group of friends! - We have taken one of this companies other tours and while had friends visiting from out of town decided to do the pirate escape scavenger hunt. It was nice to have a museum included in the admission (we explored it more after the scavenger hunt). The escape takes you to several famous and also off the track sites downtown with a ton of history thrown in. While our group didn’t escape “in time”, we still had an amazing time on the way! For a self guided adventure it was easy to follow. Can’t wait to try the other one its supposed to be more difficult! Thanks Pirate Escape !

Search for Pirate Treasure with Captain Sabrina! - Captain Sabrina did a great job of keeping the kids (a total of 6 kids from 3 families, ranging from toddler to 5th grade) entertained. She passed out maps and swords, and taught them fun facts about each item as they worked their way through the picture locations in the park. She also gave good directions ahead of time, which was appreciated due to road closures. Great fun!

So Much Fun; It Was Like an Outdoor Escape Room Experience - This was another wonderful experience with Native Charleston Tours. This is an interactive tour, where we were looking for clues and reporting back via text to our "guide" that made sure we were on the right track. We provided photos in some cases in order to move on in certain cases. We started at the Powder Magazine for the first clue and our clipboard of instructions/clues. We had so much fun; it was like an outdoor Escape Room. Please be sure when you're done to take the time to visit the Magazine museum; we especially loved the mockup of "Old Charleston" city. The museum folks are very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us. We heard rumors that another different scavenger hunt is being developed. Can't wait!

Great tour for young children! - We came to Charleston with our four young children, so this was the perfect tour for us. It was a great way to see the city and experience the history in a way that suited our children! We had fun looking for all the historical facts and taking photos along the way! We highly recommend this for families.

Self-guided tour through the streets of historic Charleston! - My wife and I did the self guided pirate escape while in Charleston and loved it. We felt it was a more than fair value and in particular found the Powder Magazine to be really interesting. We learned a lot about historical Charleston and took some cool photos along the way. 300 year old homes, secret alleyways, and pirate history along the way. 5/5 would recommend! They said a new one is coming out soon and we will definitely try that when back in town.
