The Middleton Place tour offers a comprehensive experience at one of Charleston’s cherished historic landmarks. Guests travel in a comfortable Ford Transit van, accommodating up to 12 people, accompanied by a licensed guide. The tour features an authentic Lowcountry lunch at the Middleton Place Restaurant, a garden tour, stable yard animal viewing, a visit to Eliza’s House which explores the history of the enslaved on the property, and a stop at the gift shop.
House Tour Notice: The house is closed until April 6. Upon reopening, only the first floor will be accessible. The house tour is self-guided, with Middleton Place docents available for assistance.
Pick-up is at the Charleston Visitors Center. Additional guests may be transported to Magnolia Plantation/Drayton Hall simultaneously without impacting your experience.
Lunch menu options include shrimp and grits, sweet tea–brined chicken perloo, she-crab soup, fresh local artisan greens, and pecan pie.
