Plantation tour with friends - This plantation was absolutely beautiful! Such a peaceful experience. We enjoyed walking through the gardens, the house tour as well as the wildlife train tour. We saw a lot of alligators! The tour of the slaves homes was a little slow as they just have you sitting on a bench for 30 minutes while they talk to you. You do get to walk through some of the homes after, which was cool to see. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch (don't get the wine! It's from a keg and not worth the $32). Overall, I would highly recommend this. Bring your camera! Gorgeous scenery!!!!!!

Wet plantation visit - Tour guide in the house and the cabin area were wonderful. The entire site was gorgeous. We experienced terrific rain while there and didn’t get to take the boat ride. Viator returned part of our fees. Bus driver to and from plantation was also delightful. We were the only 2 on the bus.

Beautiful Gardens to Explore - We had a fantastic time exploring this beautiful property. Our driver, Lord Harvey gave us a history lesson on what we would be seeing during the ride. We did the house tour, from slave to freedom tour and the train ride. We enjoyed each one. The information on the house was interesting, the slave tour gave us insight into what a slaves experience was like, and the train ride we got to see more of the grounds along with turtles and alligators.

Old South Experience - We choose to visit the Magnolia Plantation during our visit to Charleston to get a view of the Old South. Included in the tour, besides the bus to and from, was a tour of the main house, a slave tour and a tram tour of the grounds to view the wildlife. The house tour was very informative explaining that the home was rebuild several times, it was burned to the ground during the Civil War and then rebuilt. We skipped the “From Slavery to Freedom” tour and took the wildlife tram tour. Overall, the plantation grounds and gardens were beautiful. We had a great day.

Visit to Magnolia Plantation - Today we took the Magnolia Plantation tour. We took the transportation from the Charlston visitor center. Our driver Morgan was amazing. So knowledgeable about the city and super friendly. The actual tour was great and informative. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the Charleston.

Excellent tour from beginning to end - I wish o could remember our drivers name but he was a comedian and a historian. He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging all along the way out to the plantation. When we arrived it was organized and quite beautiful. We walked the swamp and saw alligators and all kinds of birds. We toured botanical gardens and the living quarters for moth the enslaved and the mansion. I highly recommend this tour! Great for all ages.

Southern Plantation - An excellent combination of touring the plantation, the history or slave trading in North America and the life of a slave on a plantation. The contrast between the gardens and the history is eye opening.

Three tours in one. - We really enjoyed all three of the tours we had at the plantation. The guides were knowledgeable and gave ample time to each subject. We would have liked to have a little more time on our own to walk in the gardens.

Bring bug spray! - Going to be honest. It is mosquitoes and alligators. If you do not like both then its not for you. The mosquitoes are THICK AND SWARM YOU. You will get bit. We thought ahead and bought bug spray. Thank goodness we did. We used an entire can as you must reapply every 1/2 hour. The mosquitoes were so bad we could not walk through most of through woods. Everyone around said the same. The walking paths are around swamps and yes alligators are present everywhere. You walk at your own risk. The tours are good and learned around slavery.
