• Old South Carriage Company - Begin and conclude your tour experience at our stable. After checking in, feel free to greet our draft horses, enjoy an educational video, purchase a bottle of water, or use our restroom facilities. As you board the carriage via our inclined ramp or easy loading platform, a certified tour guide will warmly welcome you.
• Charleston City Market - Once you depart from our stable, the carriage will pause at the City gate near the Market, where the City of Charleston assigns a route. This system helps distribute carriage traffic evenly across the city. The tour spans approximately 30 blocks and over 300 years of history. While specific landmarks depend on the route, all tours showcase sights that contribute to Charleston’s unique charm, including custom wrought iron gates, beautifully maintained gardens, historic mansions with picturesque piazzas, and the numerous church steeples of the “Holy City.”

• Carriage can transport up to 16 passengers per departure.
• Children 3 years and under are free provided that they sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. If you want your child to have a seat, you must purchase a child seat.
• By purchasing tickets for any horse-drawn carriage tour with Old South Carriage Co, participants acknowledge and accept all risks and liabilities associated with the tour, horses, and it’s properties. Old South Carriage Co is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur; and participants agree to release Old South Carriage Co and it’s employees from all liability.
