Best Guides! - Starr and Ernie were the best guides of downtown Charleston. So much history and so many beautiful homes. We loved this experience immensely!

Must try - What an amazing and worthwhile experience. We were lucky to have Wendy as our guide and Aiken doing the heaving lifting. A very useful insight to the history of the city.

Winston Walks Us Through History - The Old South Carriage Tour was a wonderful way to experience Charleston’s history. Our guide Madison and tour horse Winston, winded down the narrow streets of Charleston’s Area 5. The tours are based on areas of Charleston so you never know which area your tour will take you until you get to the departure “gate” that through a bingo system draws a colored ball telling the carriage driver which area they would be touring. Madison was a very knowledgeable guide and we wandered through some of Charleston’s streets with the most beautiful architectural homes and buildings. The ride was comfortable and it was easy to take pictures along the way. Winston was a very polite and well mannered horse, obeying Madison’s commands well. The 1 hour length of the tour was filled with information and great views of Charleston’s historic past. I would definitely do this tour again, if I visit Charleston and hope to see other areas of this magnificent old city.

Make sure you do this - A must try experience. We were treated to the knowledge of Wendy and the lead of Aiken. It is a good way to understand more of the city. It built on our knowledge from the walking tour.

Simply AMAZING!!! - We had just an amazing time on our carriage tour. We were a little early and enjoyed looking at all the horses and the barn. The bathrooms were so cute and clean. All workers were friendly, kind and answered all questions. They were all just delightful. It was so easy to buy tickets online and just check in at the barn. The tour was incredible. We received such a great historical education and the guide was just so friendly. The seats were comfortable…my daughter and I sat on the back row and although at times it was a little hard to hear, the majority of the time, we heard everything that was said. The guide was so good to let loud vehicles pass before trying to finish her sentence or story. I will definitely be back! It was our favorite 🤩

Fun way to see Charleston - Our Historic Charleston Carriage Tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Wendy, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. She brought the history of Charleston to life with fascinating stories and fun facts, and you could tell she truly loves what she does. Tucker, our beautiful and well-mannered horse, was a total star. He trotted us through the charming streets with ease! The tour was the perfect blend of history, scenery, and Southern charm. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Charleston—especially with Wendy and Tucker leading the way

Wish it was better. - I don’t think it’s the company’s fault but the lottery area we were given to tour was absolutely terrible. I know the area well and wanted my staff to have a great historical experience and what they got to see was a joke. The tour guide was fine and I’m sure made the best of the situation. A tour through government housing is not what people expect to see. We didn’t get anywhere near anything truly meaningful.

Expensive Parking - We weren’t prepared for the high price of parking: only 2 choices: 1 hour for $15 or 4 hours for $45. Since you get there a bit early (& the sign says they tow), it is safer to buy the 4-hour pass. But it’s a rip-off. There are also different routes so there is no guarantee you will see a particular part of Charleston on this tour. Overall the tour was alright but i didn’t find it worth the cost of the tour + parking.
