Great Food Tour Guide. - David was one of the best speakers we have toured with. He was very knowledgeable about the foods/ culture / and history of the area. It was great to hear him address everyone’s specific questions and areas of interest. He was passionate about his topic. We would not hesitate to tour with him again.

Great introduction to southern cooking - Our tour guide was Diane Rice and she was a wonderful tour guide, very pleasant and knowledgeable, it showed that she enjoys doing these tours. I thought the food tastings interesting and delicious, definitely generous portions. I haven't had a lot of southern style cooking, a lot of new experiences for me

Worth every penny. Delicious food, fun & history - My husband and I took the Savor the Flavors of Charleston Tour With faith Milone as our guide. It was a small group which was very nice. Each stop was a delight and the food was a real treat. At Handy & Hot I had the lightest and most delicious biscuit. It quite literally melted in my mouth and lemonade with a hint of vanilla bean will be a Summer favorite. Christophe's Patissier was a special with macaroons and truffles. I've never had or thought of Shrimps and Grits the way they were prepared at Hyman's Seafood, but they were delicious and the fried chicken slider at Ruby Royale was a treat . Faith not only provided us with animated food history but also gave us history of delightful Charleston. At the end of our tour, I was having a great deal of knee pain from a previous knee replacement. I was not going to be able to go on Historical waking tour we had booked, but I wanted my husband to go. Faith was awesome as she recommended a hotel where I could sit and relax while my husband went on the tour and the lovely people at Ruby Royale let us sit for awhile till my knee felt better. All in all it was an excellent morning of food and history. I highly recommend this tour.

Need to vary flavors - So, great tour guide named Graham! He answered a lot of our questions and is just a pleasant person. I highly recommend him. I gave the tour 4 stars because while there is plenty to eat, it is all savory food. The last stop was a tea and spice shop which was just a mouthful of spices on crackers—more savory. Would have been nice to have a dessert, something for those who like a bit of sweet. Isn’t key lime pie a southern favorite or what about Kilwins for ice cream or even a piece of chocolate candy? I sort of felt sick at the end with the taste of vinegary collards and then spice crackers. Definitely take that last stop off the menu.

Great guide, but don't have pre-set expectations for food. - Dana was an incredibly knowledgeable guide! Great way to discover some of the places I'll definitely include in my next visit. I was a bit disappointed to not get the she crab soup as it was what I looked forward to most & thought would be included from the write up as well as the BBQ- but it seems the restaurants change per tour & guide doesn't know ahead of time. Quite enjoyable for the comeraterie, but if you have specific dishes you want to try, you should probably map that out on your own.

Your guide was friendly / knowledgeable! - We really enjoyed our tour guide . She was friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the food in Charleston.. she was open to questions and shared her recipes ! I enjoyed listening about her experiences on recipe's! Unfortunately not all the food we expected was good ( chicken and biscuit was very salty ) . We kinda thought we were going to eat more of seafood.
