Chapala and Ajijic - Lake Chapala through the Ages - My Panoramex excursion to Chapala and Ajijic was outstanding. The guide, Ronny, was friendly and considerate. His knowledge of local history was encyclopedic! He also capably assisted with photos. Ronny sketched out the history of Chapala, from the indigenous times through the colonization and wars of independence to the present. He showed how a good part of this history is encapsulated by murals inside a small lighthouse at the end of a pier. He pointed out local flora and fauna, including parrots flying freely in trees and the many birds on the lake. In Ajijic, we had a wonderful lunch at a lakeside restaurant and a walk around town and on the boardwalk. Ronny drew attention to old Spanish churches and pointed out unusual architectural details. He also pointed out many interesting murals, accompanied by details about the artists. Associating pictures and murals with sometimes dry historical facts is a great way to make history come alive. I ended the day with a much better understanding of local history and culture.

This was a very nice... - This was a very nice tour. The guide, Norberto, was top notch in every way. Chapala is a beautiful town and Ajijic even more so. The restaurant was not so great, but I’m completely happy that I took this tour.

Relax walking tour - The tour guide Jose Luis was very professional and a good driver. The tour itself was very relax, the guide would stop at each place, let us off the van and have free time to walk around for about an hour.

Lake Trip - Nice drive south of Guadalajara, cool to see the lake and lake shore. Actually a 3 not a 5 star. Stopped at places just ro buy things. Guide and driver wer very nice. The restaurant we were taken to had good food but an unpleasantly loud band, attacked by seagulls while eating and I couldn't wait to leave. The towns had great shops and galleries however.
