• Georgioupolis - Visit a modern olive oil mill where Antonis, the producer and friend, will guide you through the process of olive oil production. You can ask him any questions you may have. Sample virgin olive oil and olives, and purchase souvenirs or traditional products like oil, olives, and handmade cooking pots at the lovely exhibition.
• Lake Kournas - Enjoy your first meal at the breathtaking Lake Kournas, offering a unique view of the sea, lake, and mountains. Taste traditional Cretan dishes such as “tsigariasto arni” (lamb cooked with oil and wine), “anitchristo arni” (lamb slow-cooked over fire), “ntolmadakia” (grape leaves stuffed with rice), “kolokithoanthous” (zucchini flowers stuffed with rice), “imam baildi” (eggplant cooked with garlic, onion, fresh tomato sauce, cream cheese, and olive oil), and various other dishes.
