• Gorges of Theriso - The Therisso Gorge, also known as Eleftherios Venizelos, is situated near Chania. Accessible by car, the main gorge stretches six kilometers. Its towering cliffs and lush vegetation rival other Chania gorges. A visit here, combined with a trip to the historic village of Therisso at the base of the White Mountains, 580 meters above sea level and just 15 kilometers from Chania, is unforgettable. A brief stop allows guests to admire the gorge, capture stunning photos, and perhaps enjoy a short hike.
• Theriso - A brief stop in the village offers guests insights into its rich history and a visit to the area’s ancient and unique Orthodox Church.
• Zourva - Near the village of Zourva by Chania lies the most remarkable forest in West Crete, known as Paradisos (paradise), extending from Pises Gorge to Aliakes. Dominated by cypress trees, typical of the White Mountains’ forests, the old trail ascends steeply from Zourva to Tromarissa springs and continues to the Madara peaks.
• Kirtomados - In the heart of the Orange Valley, guests will explore a small village and visit an organic avocado farm, learning about this distinctive Chania product.
• Stalos - A brief stop here reveals the Orange Valley and olive plantations. The stunning scenery and the village’s rich World War II history are highlights.
• Meskla - Nestled at the base of the White Mountains, Meskla is a charming village, and visitors may also explore the nearby Sarakiniko Gorge.
• Lakki - In the charming village of Lakki, guests will savor a specially prepared lunch at a small family restaurant. This meal features a wide array of Cretan dishes crafted from the finest local ingredients, accompanied by soft drinks, local wine, and Raki.
