Fun and tasty food/wine tour! - We enjoyed our tour with Stella! Meeting up with her was easy, and she asked questions about what we had been doing, and she tailored our tour from there. While had already done a historical walking tour, Stella filled in details and added new insights without repeating our previous tour. At our first stop we had an excellent bougatsa with wine, our second stop was some very interesting cheese with honey and wine at a beautiful harbor restaurant. She tailored our tour to stop at a little shop for a honey and olive oil tasting (we had been talking about buying honey), before we ended up at the restaurant for dinner. She asked for likes/dislikes, and then ordered a wonderful meal (with wine). We ate family style and there was more than enough food for all of us. We enjoyed meeting Stella, learning more about Crete, and eating excellent food.

Our guide, Stella, was... - Our guide, Stella, was FANTASTIC! She wound us through gorgeous alleyways, got us great food, and impeccable wine! We started out hearing about the rich history of Crete, then we got a good synopsis on Cretan cuisine. She introduced us to sites and foods that we otherwise would not have stumbled upon during our short visit in Chania. Grateful to her and very happy with the great food and wine we had tonight. Don’t miss this tour!

Excellent - It was a very small group of people -- two couples (and engaged couple and then two sisters)n and myself. I LOVE small groups for tours like this so I was please. Stella really brought us to some wonderful places, and really shared her love of food. In fact, on the last day I went back to our first stop to have the Greek donuts that we sampled because they were so good! I can't drink wine and Stella was very accomodating to my request for a beer. What a great way to explore the old town on my first night. I ended up running into the sisters almost daily and we ended up out to dinner and a drink on their last night in town. Truly a great experience. Thanks Stella!

Great Experience - I am in Crete on a honeymoon with my wife and booked this tour through our travel agent. Stella was fantastic, the night flew by as we walked and she provided history of Chania between food stops. Her food selections were a great way to try a variety of foods in one night. Would highly recommend!

Nice night in Chania - We were on a trip with Stella, around the old town of Chania. Stella told about the city, its history and its food culture. We were at 3 restaurants and get some tasting on some specialties. First place we got pulled pork, though not in the traditional sense, but more like burnt ends, tasted great, and some local wine to. At another place, got will cheese table and wine to. Nice and nice place by the water. We finished with dinner at a restaurant in the small streets. Here we got 5 dishes, all of which were delicious, and wine to. All in all a lovely evening.

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time with Stella. She had great knowledge of Old Town of Chania and delicious tastings on our stops. The wine and food is plentiful, no need to eat prior to your tour.

Good Neighborhood Food - The tour had a lot of good food! There wasn’t much discussion about the history of the food in the daily life, or a good description of the food. The tour guide had a low voice that sometimes made it difficult to hear her: She gave us good local restaurant and beach recommendations.

Horrible experience - DO NOT book - This tour was a total disappointment so don’t waste your money or time. The tour was touted as a food and wine tour with history of old town Chania, which is a false description. The first stop was for donuts and water, no wine. The second stop the wine was absolutely terrible and not drinkable but we got a cheese crepe. The third stop was the only one worth doing on the entire excursion as the cheese and wine was good. The dinner at Steki was served cold so the food was mediocre. The wine was house wine and once again terrible. Therefore it should not be labeled as a wine tour at all. Our tour guide didn’t talk a lot as the first spot we sat in silence. She didn’t give a lot of information on Chania and Crete. She was very soft spoken and very difficult to hear. Plus she left as soon as our meal arrived. Very rude. Then the waiter in Steki didn’t pay any further attention to us and we had to go find him and ask for help several times. Everyone in our group was thoroughly disappointed and half of the group left before dinner as they were so disappointed. This is a horrible tour so DO NOT book it as it is a complete waste of money.
