Do not eat before tour - Our first experience in Greece and we started the morning off getting introduced to Cretin foods walking through Chania’s streets. Our guide led us to several shops tasting cheeses, oils,olives, honey, and bakery fares . The guide, Konstantinos, was an enthusiastic host who worked with us to get us to his meeting spot as we went to a wrong spot in the morning. Anyway more food came along in the way of meze at an outdoor cafe. Great food, GREAT guide, awesome experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Cretan Tasty Trails in Chania! The tour was perfectly paced, allowing us to taste a wide variety of authentic Cretan dishes—from fresh cheeses and local pastries to traditional savory specialties. Each stop felt carefully chosen, showcasing hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own.
Our guide, Elena, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the local food and culture. She shared fascinating stories about each dish and the local ingredients used, which made the experience much more engaging.
The small group size made it easy to ask questions and enjoy the food at a relaxed pace. This tour is a great way to explore Chania’s culinary scene and discover local flavors you might otherwise miss.

Perfect for a fun morning in Chania! - We splurged a bit with the activity, but we do not regret it! My mom and I had the best of times with Elena (and we were lucky to be only us with her). Between all the food stops, and all her explanations on Chania history and the Cretan way of life, we did not see time pass!
Everything was delicious and it also helped us find our marks in the city!
6/5 stars for us :)

Great taste of Crete and history lesson as well - Elena was very informative and well spoken in Cretan history and cuisine. We enjoyed every morsel and we especially valued the tastings at the gourmet market. It gave us an opportunity to purchase some take home ingredients to try in our own.
Come hungry as you will have multiple tastings and then a full lunch in a outdoor setting, not to mention, great conversation with Elena

Amazing morning in Chania with lots of foods!!! - This food tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Chania. The variety of dishes we tried was incredible, and each stop felt like a hidden gem we would have completely missed on our own. What really stood out was our guide.He had such deep knowledge of Greek food and traditions, and you could feel his genuine love for sharing it with us. By the end, not only were we full, but we also felt like we had a deeper connection to the local culture. Truly a memorable experience!

The highlight of our stay in Chania!! Highly recommended 😁 - We had an absolutely fantastic time on this food tour in Chania! Every stop was carefully chosen, and we got to taste such a wide variety of flavors—many of which we never would have discovered on our own. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about Greek cuisine and everything the local nature has to offer. It was the perfect mix of delicious food, great stories, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

unforgettable food tour with kostas in chania - Our morning food tour in Chania was hands down the highlight of our trip to Crete. We got to taste so many amazing dishes, including local specialties we never would have found on our own. Our guide Kostas made the experience unforgettable with his passion for Cretan food, culture, and the treasures of the island’s nature.
I can’t recommend this tour enough to anyone visiting Chania.

Amazing Chania Food Tour! - This Chania morning food tour was a total win! We got to try awesome Cretan dishes like flaky bougatsa and cheesy kalitsounia at local spots we’d have walked right past otherwise. Every taste was a little love letter to Crete’s food scene.
Our guide, Kostas, was a blast—full of energy, great stories, and so much passion for Chania’s culture. He made our group feel like a bunch of friends catching up over great food. Highly recommend this tour for a fun, delicious morning!
