Definitely do not miss this tour - Chatsuda our tour guide was amazing and shared her wealth of knowledge with us on our tour. Getting to see the sunrise from Doi Suthep is stunning and then being involved with the offerings to the Monks is something I will never forget. Thank you for such an amazing tour!

A warm, insightful, and professional guided tour - Doing a guided tour during the intensely hot high pollution season might actually be a brilliant strategy! You will have a peaceful and leisurely tour without being squashed and hurried along by massive crowds of tourists. Our tour was awesome. The guide was charming, knowledgeable and proactive in taking photos for us. The phototaking opportunities were abundant as there were few people at the many wonderful photo spots we visited. No crowds, no hurry! You can always capture the best image! We enjoyed the entire visit thoroughly!

Absolutely amazing,... - Absolutely amazing, resourceful and rich experience with Nuttaya who was extremely friendly, wise and full of enlightenment not only about the temples but the culture, the nature and history of Thailand and Lanna. Definitely recommended! The 4am alarm hurts but it's so worth it, don't overthink it. Lifetime memories in great company!

Fantastic trip - This was a great morning, well worth early start! Guide Leela was the best we’ve had so far in Thailand, providing clear & detailed information throughout the tour and with a lovely sense of humour. The temples were magical And certainly recommend visiting early before all the crowds arrive, just so peaceful

Great sunrise and history lesson - Avi was a wonderful tour guide who was funny and attentive! The group was small which allowed the tour to be intimated and tailored. The agenda was set out well throughout the morning, allowing us to explore each location thoroughly. Even before pick up, Avi contacted us promptly and was quick to respond. He was also very knowledgeable about the history of Chiang Mai, and very engaging to listen to. Avi was the best tour guide we had during our whole trip in Thailand! Overall, we definitely recommend doing this tour as the sunrise is worth the early wake up, and the other activities were worth exploring with Avi providing great history lessons too.

Worth doing - the 3 temples feel very different - Firstly, easy to book and the company communicated well about when we would be collected for our trip. Narida was our guide. She was very knowledgeable about each place we visited and keen that we could ask questions. Her English is good - you need to get your ear tuned in for her accent but this only takes a few minutes. Also her English is fantastic compared to my Thai so I am not complaining at all! You start by going to a local market to collect food to give to the monks. Take small notes to pay. It's your choice of what to choose. The majority of the journey is up a steep hill with ever winding bends - take anti sickness pills if travel sickness is a problem for you! You go first to Doi Suthep (pronounced Soot hep). The funicular was operating and this was so much easier than the steps! Your ticket will also cover to take you down if you dont want to walk the Naga steps. Sunrise gets better if you wait - it was hazy initially but then became beautiful to see. It's a beautiful temple but felt a bit touristy without the sense of calm and quiet from other temples we have visited. Then you give food to the monks. It's an experience- you can judge that for yourself! You have time to wander and explore before choosing to walk the steps down or take the furnicular. The steps were an experience but there are a lot! Whilst the furnicular makes this more accessible its not a place to visit with mobility difficulties as there are many steps and slopes. There are market stalls at the bottom of the steps so you can buy a drink or snack before heading off. You go next to the hidden temple. Personally I preferred this temple. It has a sense of peace and connection to nature - much less touristy. You get time to explore here too. Finally to the abandoned temple. This feels different again - a larger generally flatter site with lots of rescued chickens. You walk the tunnels and see the old, very faded murals and see the part (at a distance) which is not accessible since the earthquake caused damage. You then walked up to see the pagoda on the roof. We did get a bottle of water, but its best to take some with you. All in all a good trip with great knowledge from our guide Narida.
