Amazing aay with our guide Wilai in Chiang Mai - Wilai was an incredible guide on our day in Chiang Mai. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, but she was also incredibly personable and was a joy to be with. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and Wilai was pivotal in making our stay in Chiang Mai even more pleasurable.

Memorable Chiang Mai Experiences - My wife and I booked 4-days out of 10-days with “Thai Basic Stay” that we had spent in Chiang Mai. Wilai, the owner, is a good person to work with, very patient and understanding. She helped us develop our own tours that met our schedule. Our guide was Allie and our driver Mr. Bond, nicked-named Mr. James Bond 007. Mr. Bond is very professional, safe, and an excellent driver. Allie very knowledgeable on every place we went. Our tour took us outside the city of Chiang Mai including Chiang Rai and the elephant hospital, a must. Both Allie and Mr. Bond have a good sense of humor, wonderful to be with, as we all felt like we were family. Allie and Mr. Bond helped make our trip to Chiang Mai very memorable. We highly recommend “Thai Basic Stay” especially Allie and Mr. Bond as your guide and driver.

Best Guide Ever - We booked a one day tour with Wilai to visit the Elephant Nature Park and Buntong Waterfall and it was one of the best days we have had in all our years of traveling. She is extremely knowledgeable of Chiang Mai and the surrounding area. We felt an immediate connection and comfort spending our time together. In fact the day was so fabulous we booked a second day with her and visted Doi Inthanon which was also an incredible experience. The second tour exceeded our expectations. She introduced us to a local Kayin village and we took a hike with one of the local villagers. She also taught us about some of the foods they foraged for in the forest. We hope to be able to book a tour with her again in the future. If you want the absolute best guide for your trip look no further, reserve a tour with Wilai you will not be disappointed.

Lovely tour with a super guide - We took a day tour with Noi. She was an excellent guide; very informative and fun. We visited the Orchid Garden (v nice), Queen SiriKit botanical garden (stunning), Wat Den temple (beautiful) and the Sticky Waterfall (more for the youngsters!!!). The whole tour was great value and we would recommend.

Fabulous trip to Thailand and Laos - Just returned from a three week trip to Thailand and Laos. Wilai was a fabulous guide! We learned so much about the culture, history, and day-to-day life activities ( and food!) of the area. Every day was a new adventure, and our three weeks flew by! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful trip to Thailand - We had a wonderful trip to Thailand. And Wilei made it possible. She knows everything you would ever want to know about Southeast Asia and then some. She took us to places everyone goes to but she knows the places that are amazing but not everyone knows about them.

Good private tour - Good value with no hidden fees. Our guide was fluent in English and accommodating with schedule changes. Comfortable and clean vehicle. The booking process was fuss free, but do book early especially if you are visiting during peak season.

Great guide and safe driver - Fully customisable itinerary and ease of booking and communication with owner. We were assigned Noi, a friendly and experienced guide who brought us around the sights. Highly recommended and we would engage Thai Basic Stay again for future visits.

Chiang Mai discovery - For 4 days we were accompanied by Allie, a private guide, to discover Chiang Mai and its region. everything was perfect and very well organized. Allie introduced us to this magnificent region by explaining its history and its specificities. She was very attentive and concerned about our well-being, not hesitating to adapt if necessary. We recommend this organization to discover Chaing Mai and especially Allie. A big thank you to the whole team!
