A Journey to the Heart of the Jungle

As a digital nomad, I often find myself seeking out unique experiences that allow me to connect with nature and the local culture. My recent trip to the Elephant Pride Sanctuary in the Chang Khlan Sub-district was one such adventure that left a lasting impression. Nestled within the lush Inthanon National Park, this sanctuary is a haven for elephants rescued from less fortunate circumstances.

The day began with an early morning pickup from my hostel by Coco Loco, a member of the family that runs the sanctuary. The drive to the sanctuary was a scenic journey through the countryside, offering glimpses of rural life in Thailand. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the sight of elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat, a sight that immediately put my mind at ease about their well-being.

The sanctuary’s commitment to ethical treatment of elephants was evident from the start.
