- Montenvers - Mer de Glace - The Montenvers railway starts from Chamonix and within 20 minutes reaches the the Mer de Glace (1,913m), France’s largest glacier (7km long, 200m thick). The Mer De Glace translates as the ‘Sea of Ice’ and is one of the most stunning views in the Alps. Visitors can also descend into the Ice caves that are sculpted into the glacier.

I would recommend Alpine Fleet - Lovely experience, fun and enjoyable transfer with a great driver. We used them both ways and things went pretty well. Would recommend

Very rude and rushed me through the airport - Very rude. They called me several times as I was getting off the plane and getting my luggage, asking me to please hurry - even though the scheduled and confirmed departure time was not for 30 additional minutes. I told them I was waiting for my luggage to arrive but she said that all the other passengers were waiting for me so I needed to go faster. I skipped the duty-free and the cash machine because I felt very rushed. When I arrived at the kiosk the driver looked very annoyed and did not engage with me at all. We still were in the bus and left 15 minutes prior to schedule departure. Recommend looking for another company if you value common courtesy and respect.

Unacceptable delay and filthy bus - NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Our transfer was booked for 15.00 from Geneva airport for chamonix. There was no one at the desk, 15.00 came and went work no sign of active. They're we're 6 people waiting for this bus. One phoned the company and was told the bus was due at 16.00 and that the timings were 'approximate'. When the bus driver who only spoke French showed up he insisted on waiting for 2 other people who were due who were 2 of the people who'd been waiting! We had to speak to his boss to get it sorted. The driver thought it all a huge joke and didn't even apologise. When we finally got going at 16.20 we were in slow rush hour traffic, the bus was uncomfortable, dirty and stank of cigarette smoke...presumably the driver's. His driving was erratic, tailgating cars on fast moving traffic. A horrendous experience instead of a nice start to a holiday

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. AVOID ALPINE FLEET AT ALL COSTS - Terrible experience. I had booked a transfer to Chamonix from Geneva airport at 6pm on new years eve and the company changed the time of my transfer to 8pm without even notifying me. I only found out that my transfer time had been changed when I called them. As a result of this I missed half of my new years eve dinner.
On my return trip from Chamonix (which I unfortunately also booked with them ahead of time) they pulled off the same stunt again. They changed the time of the transfer by 1h although this time they notified me. However on this transfer the issue was the bus and driver that the company provided. The bus arrived 20min late and on picking us up also accepted to pick up some drunk passerbys which asked to be dropped off at a nearby stop. The two people that were picked up would not stop screaming during the whole trip and were reeking of alcohol (it was a 5am bus).
I asked for a refund due to my experience and received no response. Would avoid this company at all costs.

AN AUTHENTIC DISASTER - An authentic disaster.
We booked an online transfer from Geneva airport to Chamonix for 7:00 PM, and when we arrived at the stand about 10 minutes before the scheduled time, we were informed that we would have to wait 45 minutes for all the people going to Chamonix to arrive. It was delayed to the point that we only left at 8:20 PM without any explanation or an apology for the situation.
On the return trip, a week later, we confirmed with the company that the departure from Chamonix would indeed be at 8:55 AM as we had initially booked, and they responded the night before that the transfer would leave at 9:15 AM. After insisting and explaining that we had a flight at 12:00 PM to catch, the transfer arrived with a 50-minute delay from the initially scheduled time, causing us to miss our flight.
The policy of this company really leaves much to be desired, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Deplorable service - I arrived at 8:00, my bus was at 10:00. I'm going to see someone to advance my ticket, I'm told it's not possible and I have to wait 2 hours. I decide to try again with another lady: this one literally ignores me for 15 minutes and goes to other customers each time without talking to me. When she finally speaks to me, she tells me that of course there are still places on the 8:30pm bus (which was also late of course) and that she gives them to me because she needs my 10pm seat.
I may be alone and not look like a rich customer who comes often, but I paid the same price as everyone else, so I don't understand why I don't get the same service. Next time I'll take swiss tricks.
