Because it teaches you how to prevent and manage issues in the water, boosting your confidence in your diving abilities and ensuring you can assist others when necessary. Throughout the course, you enhance your skills as a diving partner by practicing problem-solving techniques until they become instinctive. Additionally, the course is enjoyable – it maintains a serious tone but allows for plenty of laughter amidst the focused learning.
PADI (Junior) Adventure Divers who are at least 12 years old and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive are eligible to enroll in a Rescue Diver course. Participants must also have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the last 24 months. This training can be completed during the Rescue Diver course. Instructors may also offer the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty diver course concurrently.
