- Revash Mausoleum of the Chachapoyas - Following breakfast, the journey continues to the town of San Bartolo. From there, the group will embark on a walk to the Revash Mausoleums, which are funerary structures nestled at the base of towering rocks. These mausoleums are painted in red and cream, resembling small houses. Some structures reach up to three stories, while others feature gable roofs with T-shaped, cross-shaped, and square windows. The mausoleums can be viewed from approximately 100 meters away, offering a strategic vantage point to admire the entire funerary complex.
- Leimebamba Museum - After the visit, lunch will be served. The next stop is the Centro Mallqui or Leymebamba Museum, which is designed to reflect local architectural styles. The museum is surrounded by gardens rich in diverse flora, including a collection of over 100 local orchid varieties. It houses an invaluable collection of 240 mummies discovered in the Lagoon of the Condors.

Great Experience - This tour is great! The guide was friendly, knew a lot about the Chachapoya Culture and was very helpfull. The driver was very carefull and experienced. We stopped at a great place to eat, it was tasty and the people very friendly at all. The place is beatiful with humming-birds and bromeliad hanging everywhere. I recommend this to every visitor to Chachapoyas!

Leymebamba beauty - I went independently to Leymebamba
I do NOT normally do tours unless there is no option
I went to the museum as l sm an anthropologist and archaeology is a passion of mine
45 minutes which is suggested by tours is NOzT enough for me
However l recognise that some people may want to do the tour with the mausoleum as well as the mausoleum is far away and difficult to access independently
If you like archaeology this is mind blowing
I stayed at la Petaca Hotel which is excellent but no one here speaks English
Learn some Spanish
People here are kind and hospitable but so far little infrastructure for tourists which suits me!
