This trail is not easily accessible by public transport, which is why it doesn’t attract many visitors. During the drive, a biologist nature guide provides insightful information about Latvian nature and its protected areas, along with fascinating stories about the origin of the bog and its current uses. The excursion includes a 5 km walk along the marsh boardwalk, bringing visitors closer to the bog’s lakes and ponds, with opportunities for photography and engaging narration.
