Over The Top will transport you from its helibase to a mountain location overlooking Queenstown, offering 180-degree views of the Wakatipu Basin. Here, you can savor your champagne picnic featuring meats, cheeses, salad, fruit, and a variety of beverages for as long as you wish. The helicopter will return to pick you up when you’re ready, providing a bird’s-eye view of Queenstown before returning to the Over The Top heli base.

AMAZING!! 🤩 - Such an amazing experience, pick up & drop off included which is so convenient. Ben the pilot was awesome! Package includes drinks & food platter everything in there was delicious. The best part was the mountain top views 😍 definitely recommend doing this with your loved one! Loved every bit of this! I would go back and do it again in a heart beat lol! 🩵

Quick run over to McConnockie country Whiskey hut. Hamish great Pilot, great personality, very smooth operator. Loved the whole day, my lady loved the surprise filght.

Champagne picnic on a peak - We were recommended Over the Top Helicopters for a unique honeymoon experience. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and engaging and made us feel like a valued client. The picnic hamper was amazing and the champagne was yummy. However, the real thrill was being flown in a modern comfortable squirrel helicopter to the top of Cecil Peak, and being left alone to enjoy endless views on a beautiful sunny day. This is an experience that we will never forget. Thank you OTT Helicopters.

Highly recommend - Amazing experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! Our pilot Rene was great, he recommended a couple of nice spots to land. It wasn’t cold and we were shielded by the rocks for the light wind on one side at the time, so more than comfortable throughout. Our Champagne picnic hamper provided was impressive and delicious, we couldn’t finish it all, including the beers that went untouched. From start to finish we were very happy with everything and highly recommend.

Fabulous - Having waited 20 years to do this, we weren’t disappointed. From the time of booking, communication was great. This is a very professional company, friendly and approachable. Don’t have a late breakfast! The platter was outstanding but just weren’t hungry. We spent 2 hours, just taking it in. Fabulous! Am keen to get back and do it again..

Absolutely stunning! - I booked this trip as a surprise for my wife and it could not have been better. The team were friendly and helpful. The flight itself was comfortable and offered brilliant views over Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Range. After a very scenic flight we were landed into an idyllic spot with a spectacular view. We were dropped off and left with an excellent picnic containing everything you could want. We had chosen to stay for around 2 hours, but were told we could choose to be picked up earlier if we wanted or stay longer by letting the team know.
Having such a beautiful spot all to ourselves truly was magic. I can't recommend this highly enough - especially for a special occasion.

Awesome Chopper Experience - Great experience. This is a slick operation with a state of the art chopper and friendly staff. Take something warm as it can get chilly on the peak whilst drinking your bubbles and eating your pavlova. Would definitely recommend using these guys.
