A Serene Start to the Day

As a seasoned traveler and surfer, I’ve always been drawn to the ocean’s call, but this time, I decided to explore the lush landscapes of Cebu, Philippines. The day began with a warm welcome from our friendly driver at the hotel. The air-conditioned private vehicle was a welcome respite from the tropical heat, and as we drove through the scenic beauty of Cebu, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation for the adventure that lay ahead.

Our first stop was the heart of Cebu City, a bustling metropolis with a rich history. Leaving the city behind, we headed towards Balamban, a place that promised both tranquility and excitement. Our destination was the Adventure Cafe and Zipline, the first resto bar adventure café in the Philippines. Nestled in the hills of Gaas Balamban, the cafe offered a perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.

The zipline was an exhilarating experience, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. As I soared through the air, I felt a rush of adrenaline that rivaled the thrill of catching a perfect wave. The Adventure Cafe was more than just a place for thrills; it was a sanctuary where one could unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

A Floral Finale at Buwakan Ni Alejandra

Our final stop was Buwakan Ni Alejandra, a 700-square-meter garden located on the Cebu Transcentral Highway. The garden was a riot of colors, with approximately 200 kinds of flora and fauna. As I wandered through the garden, I was reminded of the beauty and diversity of nature, much like the ever-changing waves I chase around the world.

The guided tour of the garden was both informative and relaxing, and I relished the 1.5 hours of free time to explore at my own pace. The vibrant blooms and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze created a serene atmosphere, a perfect end to a day filled with adventure and discovery.
