A fun evening - The tour was a great way to spend the evening. Our guide Maeve was knowlegable and good company. We tried lots of the recommended dishes and wines, some we liked, some we didnt, but that was the whole point, to try new things. The different restaurants were varied and interesting. Worth a try.

Matteo is awesome! - Matteo is the man. Best tour guide since we got to Spain. He was fun, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable. He even drank with us throughout the night! Thank you Matteo for a great evening and showing us the best food spots in Cadiz.

Excellent tapas and wines evening with Matteo! - We enjoyed a fabulous tour with Matteo, booked last minute and ended up being just the two of us. Matteo was knowledgeable and fun to be with. He took us to three excellent places, and we enjoyed all the foods and wines he ordered as well as his explanations of the traditions of each tapa we tried. He made sure to check if we had any particular likes or dislikes, or any food allergies. He also shared his knowledge of Cadiz and suggested other activities we might enjoy. Great food, great drink and a great guide - We did a Tapas Tour in Cadiz with Cadizfornia Tours on the 29th of April2023. We had previously done other Tapas tours in Seville and Madrid with other companies so were keen that the experience was at least equal. Our guide was Ana who was a delight and introduced us to the other couple on the tour who were Spanish. We had a dual language group which Ana was excellent in managing giving us both her attention. We visited two excellent Tapas restaurants and had excellent food, service and attention. Ana explained the dishes, about the restaurants and background to Cadiz and the wider region of Jerez. This was an excellent experience and excellent value

Evening tapas tour Cadiz - Excellent tour there was just my wife and I on the tour our guide Ana was very charming and easy to talk to. She took us to two of the most famous tapas bars and explained and picked delicious dishes for us.

Excellent food tour with expert guide - This was a brilliant tour. Matteo was a real foodie, and he really knew everything about the dishes, and exactly what to order at Cadiz's best restaurants. The semi-dulce wine at El Faro was spectacular and the chicharones especial and queso with asparagus at the other taverna were impeccable. All the whole enjoying good conversation, with Matteo always welcoming my questions.

Didn't receive the entire experience - We had a very pleasant English speaking guide for our tapas. The package we purchased which was clarified was 3 hours; 3 restaurants-each with a drink and 3 tapas to sample. He was in charge of which restaurants we experienced. We went to Taberna Casa Manteca and El Faro, both provided unique and delicious offerings. However, this was Saturday, the restaurants busy and wait times longer than usual. Our guide suggested after the 2nd restaurant between the fact that we were full and the restaurants so busy we would end the tour. we were disappointed that we were missing 1 experience.

not exactly a tapas tour - We had a lovely, friendly guide so I don't like leaving a negative review but the tour was only 2 hours not 3 , we only went to 2 places and ended up with a bit of a debate about how many plates and how many drinks were included in the tour. Poor value for money in the end.

Avoid! - What tour? We booked, we paid and all was confirmed via email the day of the scheduled tour for 8:00 pm. We arrived 15 min early and waited 45 minutes in the dark, in a secluded area of the city but no one arrived. Not a tour guide. Not another tour member. They had our phone number and our email but no one had the courtesy to advise us of a cancellation. Were we in the wrong meeting place? No. We took photos of the of the place and time we were there. So it was a no show. And an almost no refund of almost $200. Not to mention the 10:euro we spent on cab fare. Fortunately, we were able to receive a full refund with “some” discussion. My advice. Be wary and document everything.
