• 47HC2GW3+8FH - We will travel by vehicle from the meeting point to the starting point of the trek in the Villarrica National Reserve, Sollipulli sector, which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  From there we will start the trail, which lasts from 7 to 9. This has a medium difficulty, with slopes less than 40  and without major risks.
  The trail passes through huge forests of Coihues and Araucarias, ancient volcanic lavas until reaching the southern summit of the volcano, from where you can see its crater, the largest in South America and a huge glacier inside.
  During the trek you can observe various geological processes, ancient forests and various animals such as; black woodpeckers, condors, striped rays, comeebos, snakes, lizards, foxes, etc.

Sollipulli Volcano boasts the largest crater in South America. Within this crater lies a massive glacier, spanning 24 square kilometers, serving as a crucial water source for Araucanía. The trail meanders through forests filled with ancient monkey puzzle trees and towering coihue trees, alongside remnants of historic volcanic eruptions. This tour provides an educational and respectful insight into the Mapuche worldview, the untamed nature of this region, and its inhabitants.
