Visitors can ascend via the road leading to Rifugio Sapienza, situated at 1,923 meters. The refuge features a well-stocked bar and shopping area. Guests can also relax on a spacious panoramic terrace, offering a splendid view over much of eastern Sicily.
From the refuge, you can take a cable car, for an additional fee, to reach an altitude of 2,500 meters. From there, you can explore on foot or continue with off-road vehicles to reach the crater area, located at 2,920 meters.
