• ETNA TRAIL: The Trail Running Adventure on Etna Volcano, North Piano Provenzana, Linguaglossa (Ct) - The gathering point is Piano Provenzana, Etna Nord. Following an initial briefing, participants will travel in specialized off-road 4x4 vehicles to an altitude of 2900 meters, where the true trekking experience begins. As the ascent progresses, the view will encompass the summit craters, the eastern Sicilian coast, and in the distance, Calabria and the Aeolian Islands. Traversing both ancient and recent lava flows, trekkers will reach the summit area of Europe’s highest active volcano within an hour. The duration of the stay is subject to volcanic activity and weather conditions. After taking in the breathtaking summit views, the descent will commence through sandy gullies leading to the Pizzi Deneri area, offering a stunning vista of the Valle del Bove. The return to Piano Provenzana will be via off-road 4x4 vehicles.
