Our Etna Tour Morning presents a half-day journey to explore the volcano which includes a visit to the ancient craters at a height of 2000 meters and a leisurely trek through a trail surrounded by volcanic settings. Beginning from your stay in Catania, we’ll first make a stop at a lava flow cave equipped with torches and helmets. The next stop focuses on uncovering the Silvestri Craters formed by the 1892 eruption on the volcano’s southern side. Advancing, we trek for roughly 1.5 hours on a path marked by old flows and extraordinary scenery in order to uncover the Silvestri craters that erupted in 1892 on the volcano’s southern flank. We will conclude the adventure with a traditional Sicilian lunch where you can enjoy the culinary flavors and wine history of the Etna region. A moment for indulgence but also relaxation before heading back to the meeting point in Catania.
