A highlight of St Lucia - What a wonderful morning! Vernell gave us a guided food tour of Castries market, which started with a very welcome fresh coconut water! We encountered so many new fruit and vegetables, tasting as we went along, and even sampled some rum and sweet treats before being given lunch at a street restaurant. Very informative and enjoyable! We even went back to the ship laden with delicious mangoes, which we enjoyed over the next couple of days. Highly recommend - great value for money - thank you, City Walkers!

History and Food of Castries - I was very surprised to find that I was the only person doing this tour and that it had not been cancelled. One on one meant no rushing and more time for talk. Slow walk shoeing historical points allowing for photos. Food tasting in markets was a great experience. Guide gave particular attention to cleanliness. All food tasting was included, even lunch from a local food kitchen and bakery as well as food and spice markets. Enjoyed every minute

Nice City Overview with GREAT Guide - Georgie was our guide. We found him to be very nice and knowledgeable. This was a nice way to get our bearings with Castries and to learn a little bit about the city center. He was great about listening and personalizing the tour as he discovered our interests. We would definitely recommend!

Taste Of St. Lucia Walking Food Tour, Great Experience - This walking food tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide George was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate…not just about the food, but also the local history and culture. Every stop on the tour offered something unique and delicious, and we got to try a wide variety of authentic local dishes we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. The pacing was perfect. We also loved the personal stories and insider tips shared along the way, they made the experience feel really special. It truly felt like walking through the city with a local friend who knew all the best spots. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves great food, good conversation, and get a real taste of the city!

Nice and friendly local experience - Me and kids (8 and 10 yo) sampled fruits, coconuts, juices and sweets. Kids tried all of the things and liked some :-) they even “ventured” and tried some savoury dishes as well ! George , our guide , was very protective, accommodating , caring and tried to make this an enjoyable experience! We go to this market every year and it’s always a very nice experience!

Castries, Saint Lucia Food/History Tour - George, our tour guide from City Walkers, was exceptional in the way that he informed us of the history of Saint Lucia and Castries specifically. His in-depth knowledge and energy was on full display as he navigated us towards the major historical sights. Not only did we see Castries' beautiful landmarks, but he took us on a food adventure which saw us partaking in a number of local delicacies and exotic fruits. Every food request that we made he did his best to accommodate. Would highly recommend George for your next tour in Castries

Great Tour - This was a great tour to actually learn about what goes on in the island, to learn about authentic St. Lucian food and learn about fruits that aren't available or common in the US, and to learn about arts and crafts that are common in St. Lucia. I would recommend this tour for anyone staying in a resort since you can't get this experience staying in a resort.

Castries Unclaiked - George was very pleasant and showed us interesting things. He couldn’t answer all our questions and needs to expand history facts! An enjoyable tour.

Don't bother - We did the history and food tour. Castries has very little visible history left after disastrous fires. Anything that is included on the tour is completely accessible without a guide and the information is basic and easily googled. Some information is actually incorrect, eg, The Nobel Prize is not awarded by the Queen. The day we did our tour was extremely hot, the guide made no attempt to explain things in shady areas but talked as we walked along busy roads. He seemed unaware that the person walking behind could not hear what he was saying.
