- Emerald Lake - Nestled in Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake is a stunning glacier-fed lake renowned for its vibrant emerald-green waters, a result of fine glacial silt reflecting sunlight. Surrounded by mountains and forests, it offers breathtaking natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy hiking along the easy lakeside trail, canoeing on the tranquil waters, photography, wildlife watching, and in winter, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. It is one of the most serene and picturesque spots in the Canadian Rockies.
- Natural Bridge - Following our visit to Emerald Lake, we will proceed to the Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park. Here, we will witness the Kicking Horse River flowing through a rock formation, creating a natural bridge. We will take a moment to admire the rushing turquoise waters and capture some photos. It’s a brief yet captivating stop before we continue our exploration of the park.
- Takakkaw Falls - After visiting the Natural Bridge, we will head to Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park. We will witness one of Canada’s tallest waterfalls, with water cascading dramatically from the mountains. We will walk to the viewing area to feel the mist and capture photos of the stunning scenery. It is important to note that Takakkaw Falls is accessible only from June 15 to October 15 each year.
- Moraine Lake Rockpile Trail - (Moraine Lake access is available from June 1st to October 12th only) We will visit Moraine Lake, celebrated for its striking turquoise waters and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. We will enjoy the breathtaking views, stroll along the lakeshore, and visit the Rockpile, the best spot for panoramic photos of the lake and surrounding mountains. The new 2026 entry fee of $170 per vehicle is included in our tour, allowing you to enjoy the lake and Rockpile without any additional cost. It’s one of the most picturesque locations in the Canadian Rockies and a must-see on our journey. Feel free to spend more time if you wish.
- Banff National Park - After our drive through Banff National Park, we will return to Banff town, continuing to enjoy the scenic mountain and forest views along the way.
- Lake Louise - Following lunch at Lake Louise Village, we will visit Lake Louise, one of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies. We will admire its stunning turquoise waters surrounded by towering mountains and the renowned Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. We can walk along the lakeshore, enjoy the scenery, and take photos. For those interested, there is an option to rent a canoe and paddle on the lake (rental cost not included). It’s a perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the Rockies.
- Bow Falls - On our return to Banff, we will stop at Bow Falls, a wide and powerful waterfall on the Bow River. We will have the opportunity to view the falls from the lookout area and take photos of the rushing water with the mountains in the background. It’s a short but very scenic stop, allowing us to enjoy the sound and beauty of the falls.
- Surprise Corner - On our way back to Banff town, we will also pass by Surprise Corner, a renowned viewpoint offering a beautiful panoramic view of the Banff Springs Hotel and the surrounding mountains. We will stop briefly for photos and to appreciate the scenery.
Afterwards, we will conclude our tour and return to our starting point in Banff/Canmore, completing a day filled with stunning lakes, waterfalls, mountains, and scenic drives through the Canadian Rockies.
