- Lake Albano - Visitors can admire the lake’s beauty from Castel Gandolfo. As one of two volcanic-origin water basins, it serves as a delightful summer tourist destination.
- Cantine Santa Benedetta - This distinguished and historic winery is perfect for starting a wine-tasting day tour. Guests will learn about local grape varieties, their flavors, and tasting techniques. Accompanying the wine are snacks like salami, ham, and olive oil bruschetta.
- Nemi - Another enchanting small medieval village from the 8th century, nestled in the Roman Castles countryside. Overlooking a lake formed by an ancient volcano, Nemi is renowned for its strawberries and hosts a famous festival on the first Sunday of September.
- Azienda Agricola Villa Simone - With roots in the Marche region, this family-run business expanded to Frascati in 1982 when Piero Costantini acquired Bishop Pallotta’s vineyards in Monte Porzio Catone to craft prestigious wines. Now led by Lorenzo Costantini, a passionate Lazio winemaker, the company believes in Frascati’s potential. The unique terroir of Castelli Romani enhances the wines, with ideal conditions for cultivating the native Malvasia Puntinata variety. The aim is to produce a Frascati wine with 80% Malvasia del Lazio, reflecting the area’s distinctiveness.
- Appian Way (Via Appia Antica) - Known as the world’s first highway, it linked Rome to Naples and extended to southeastern Italy. Constructed by Roman Magistrate Appio Claudio Cieco in 312 B.C., it is now an impressive archaeological site featuring ancient tombs and aristocratic countryside villas.

Dear Guests, this excursion is crafted for those eager to explore the vineyards of Rome and its picturesque countryside, while enjoying a delightful wine tasting at two of the most charming local wineries. You will journey through the enchanting Roman countryside and visit two villages in the area known as the Roman Castles. So, what is the Castelli Romani or Roman Castles area?
The Castelli Romani region encompasses the entire geographical area southeast of Rome, around the Colli Albani, consisting of a group of villages and towns partly within the territory of Latium Vetus, the Ancient Lazio region, surrounded by the Roman countryside. The operator possesses extensive knowledge of the area’s history and features, and can assist with the local language, offer advice, and provide information about local food, shopping, and more.
- We would like to kindly remind our potential clients that the two wine tasting are not included in the tour fee and that they will have to be paid on site approximately €40 per person.
- We would like to remind our customers that we may change the order of visits and even the vineyards for wine tasting based on the availability of the companies themselves.
