TRAVEL FROM CASABLANCA TO CHEFCHAOUEN

Kasbah des Oudaias - Today, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation to explore the city’s key monuments and landmarks before heading to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. After visiting Rabat, continue to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad.

CHEFCHAOUEN — VOLUBILIS — MEKNES — FES

Volubilis - After breakfast at the riad, head to Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other Rif towns. At Volubilis, explore Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan archaeological sites. After the ruins, proceed to Meknes, a historic 17th-century city. Enjoy lunch and stroll around the medieval walls of the medina, Bab El Mansour, and visit the Moulay Ismail shrine. After Meknes, travel directly to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad.

FES SIGHTSEEING

Kairaouine Mosque (Mosque of al-Qarawiyyin) - Begin exploring Morocco’s oldest city after breakfast at your riad. Wander through its narrow streets and alleys. Start by visiting the Royal Palace Gate, built in the 16th century. Ensure visits to all historical and cultural sites, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, visit the tile cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of the Fes Medina.

Fes — Ifrane — Azrou — Midelt — Ziz valley — Merzouga

Ifrane - After breakfast, depart for Midelt through the Middle Atlas mountains and cedar forests, passing Azrou, a hub for cedarwood crafts, and Ifrane, a charming ski resort. Reach Midelt for lunch after crossing the Zaida pass (2,178m/7,146ft). In the afternoon, travel to Erfoud via Errachidia and the palm-lined Ziz valley. Embark on desert excursions to Erg Chebbi’s dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse in Merzouga.

Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley via Todra gorges

Todra River - Experience a breathtaking sunrise as the camel guide wakes you early. After capturing stunning photos, return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Then, travel to Erfoud, known for its fossils. Drive past palm tree plantations, stop for lunch, and continue to the Todra Gorges for a short walk. Proceed to Boumalne de Dades for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional Kasbah.

Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and High Atlas Mountains

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Depart from Dades Valley for Rose Valley, Ouarzazate, and Marrakech after breakfast. Explore El Kelaa M’gouna, the Valley of the Roses, and the Road of 1000 Kasbahs. Visit Ouarzazate and have lunch at the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Spend time at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, a backdrop for films like Lawrence of Arabia and The Gladiator. Finally, travel to Marrakech via the Tichka pass.
