Marrakech - Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your accommodation. A Sahara Desert Excursions driver/guide will meet you at Menara Airport in Marrakech, depending on your flight schedule, and take you to your Riad or hotel in Marrakech Medina for your first night’s stay.

From Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Ait Ben Haddou - On the second day, explore the “pearl of the south,” one of Morocco’s imperial cities founded by the Almoravides dynasty in the late 12th century. Visit the Koutoubia, the Yves Saint Laurent garden, and other captivating sites. After lunch, travel to Ouarzazate, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka, Morocco’s highest road pass at 2260 meters. Upon arrival at Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, enjoy ample time to explore before an overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

From Ouarzazate - Tinghir - Erfoud to Merzouga

Erg Chebbi - In Ouarzazate, explore the Taourirt Kasbahs and the Atlas film studio. Depart for Tinghir via the “road of thousands of Kasbahs,” then continue to EL Kelaa through the Dades valley. Proceed to Erfoud via the Tinejdad road, arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride at sunset to reach the oasis camp. Spend the night in nomadic tents or under the stars, playing drums with locals and soaking in the Sahara Desert camp atmosphere.

From Merzouga to Fez

Azrou - Journey through the Middle-Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane and Azrou, home to a significant handicraft center. Stop in Midelt for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Fes for dinner and an overnight hotel stay.

From Fez - Meknes to Chefchaouen

Bou Inania Medersa - Fez retains many historical sites, including the mosque and university of Karaouine, Morocco’s largest, as well as the Bouanania Medersa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Zaouia Moulay Idriss. After exploring the city, travel to Meknes, the capital during Moulay Ismail’s reign (1672-1727). Visit Bab Al Mansour and the royal stables and granaries that once housed up to 12,000 horses of Sultan Moulay Ismail before continuing to Chefchaouen.

From Chefchaouen to Rabat

Chefchaouen - After enjoying the stunning blue tones of Chefchaouen, travel to Rabat, with a lunch break at a local restaurant.

From Rabat to Casablanca

Mausoleum of Mohammad V - After breakfast, explore Rabat, visiting the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, the Oudaya Garden, and the Mechouar Royal Palace.

Casablanca Departure

Casablanca - On the final day, you will be transferred to the airport. We look forward to hearing from you again.
