Rabat - Next, travel to Morocco’s capital, Rabat. The tour includes visits to Bab Challah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, one of the main gates of the royal palace, and the Oudaya Kasbah. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the blue city of Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen - Continue directly to Chefchaouen, passing through several small towns with breaks along the way. Arrive early to explore the blue alleys of the medina, capture photos, and savor local cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.

Chefchaouen - Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen, a city nestled in the Rif Mountains, known for its blue-hued buildings. Discover leather and weaving workshops along its steep cobbled streets. Visit the central square of Outa el Hammam, home to the 15th-century kasbah with ethnographic and artistic exhibits. The Great Mosque’s octagonal minaret is nearby.
Fes - After lunch, continue your journey to Fes.

Fes - After breakfast at your Riad, explore Morocco’s oldest city, wandering through its alleys and narrow streets. Visit the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco during the 14th century, Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, visit the tiles cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of Fes Medina. Overnight at the same Riad.
Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga
Ifrane - Depart Fes for Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz valley. Travel through Ifrane, a picturesque mountain village known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Stop at the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may see Barbary apes. Continue to Midelt, passing through the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and Ziz Gorge, with views of the High Atlas plateau and desert hints as you approach Errachidia.
Midelt - Pause for lunch in Midelt.
Erfoud - Journey through the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views en route to Erfoud and Rissani.
Merzouga Desert - Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, greeted with mint tea. Enjoy a camel ride in the Sahara Desert dunes to reach your camp for the night.
Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges
Merzouga Desert - Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After breakfast at the camp, camel-trek back to Merzouga village. Appreciate the changing beauty of the dunes as you ride. Meet your driver to continue to Dades.
Rissani - Optionally stop in Rissani to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of the Alaouite dynasty.
Fossiles d’Erfoud - Proceed to Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory before heading to Todra Valley for lunch.
Todgha Gorge - Take a leisurely walk to explore the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest in Morocco. The Todra River has carved stunning vertical walls, making it a climber’s paradise.
Dades Gorges - In the evening, travel through the Dades Valley, admiring the sand castles and “monkey toes” rock formations. Overnight in a charming guest house overlooking the Dades Valley.
Dades - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
El Kelaa M’gouna - After breakfast, journey through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate and Marrakech. The route, known as the “way of the thousand Kasbahs,” offers numerous photo opportunities. Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, the center of the rose valley, to visit a rose cooperative and purchase rosewater.
Ouarzazate - Visit the Cinema Museum and Kasbah Taourirt.
Ait Ben Haddou - Continue to Marrakech via the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, built by Et Hami El Glaoui in the 19th century, now home to many Glaoui people.
High Atlas Mountains - Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas Mountains, exploring the Argan oil production process by Berber women in their cooperative before reaching your Marrakech accommodation.

Marrakech - After breakfast at your Hotel/Riad, explore Marrakech, the “red city of Morocco.” Visit historical and cultural sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. After lunch near the square, stroll through the souks to see handicrafts. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore other parts of the city.
Jemaa el-Fnaa - Known as the “Red City” for its red sandstone walls and buildings, Marrakech has Berber roots and was a key trading hub for Atlas mountain tribes. Orient yourself around the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, with souks to the north, Koutoubia Mosque and Gardens to the west, and the kasbah area with Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace to the south. The new city features the Majorelle Gardens.
Medina of Marrakesh - Immerse yourself in the maze of souks, hidden behind ordinary shops and restaurants. Explore Souk el Attarin, Souk Chouari, and Souk Smata for spices, woodwork, and babouche (traditional Moroccan slippers). Visit the Tanneries or dyers’ souk to see traditional dyeing methods.
