Chefchaouen - Meet at your hotel in Chefchaouen and drive to Ouazzane, then reach Volubilis.
Fes - Continue to Fes and spend the afternoon exploring its highlights. Overnight in a traditional riad.
FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT
Fes - After breakfast, begin the journey south to the Merzouga desert via Midelt and Errachidia.
Ifrane - The first stop is Ifrane city, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” then continue to Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz Valley. Experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains, stopping at the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can see Barbarian apes. Notice the changing scenery as you approach Errachidia city.
Merzouga - After lunch in Midelt, continue through the stunning Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views. Drive through Berber villages to Erfoud, then to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current ruling royal family. Arrive in Merzouga at day’s end, enjoy a glass of mint tea, and ride a camel to witness the sunset amidst Morocco’s highest sand dunes, spending the night there. Overnight at a well-equipped desert camp where dinner is served.
SAHARA DESERT – TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Merzouga - Your camel guide will wake you early to witness what might be the most beautiful sunrise of your life. Then, peacefully camel-trek back to your riad, appreciating the unique beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes as they change with the light.
Todgha Gorge - After breakfast and a hot shower in a traditional guest house, depart for Tinghir and Todgha gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Enjoy the opportunity to hike along its valley.
Dades Gorges - Drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation will be in a riad or guesthouse in the heart of the gorge, with dinner and breakfast included.
DADES VALLEY – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH
Dades Gorges - After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is known as the way of a thousand Kasbahs, offering numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, “the rose city,” to purchase rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling fresh long after your trip.
Ouarzazate - Continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa,” and explore the kasbah and film studios in the city.
Ait Ben Haddou - Lunch at the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, the largest in Morocco, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. It is renowned as a backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and ‘Gladiator.’
Marrakech - The journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, with a stop to explore the process of making Argan oil at women’s cooperatives before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour concludes.
