Volubilis - Volubilis is a significant landmark in Morocco, founded by the Berber people in the 3rd century BC. After Carthage’s fall, it became part of Mauretania. In 25 BC, King Juba II established his royal capital at Volubilis. Despite his Berber roots, Juba married Mark Antony and Cleopatra’s daughter, adopting Roman tastes. The city’s public buildings, including a forum, basilica, and triumphal arch, reflect Roman architectural styles.
Fes - Exploring the Imperial City and medieval Medina
Kairaouine Mosque (Mosque of al-Qarawiyyin) - Fes is Morocco’s cultural hub, the world’s oldest surviving city, and home to the first university, al-Qarawiyyin, founded in 859 AD. It continues to welcome students today, rich in history and monuments. Fes is a must-visit on any Moroccan tour.
