Your tour departs from Restaurant Mare Nostrum. If you are arriving by cruise ship, proceed up the main pier until you reach the restaurant, which is a white building with golden letters. Our guides will meet you in the pedestrian area and will be wearing white tops and blue lanyards.

Historical knowledge and a fabulous tour - Our guide, Ellie, was amazing! She was so clearly passionate about the uncovered Roman history and the broader history of Cartegena, she probably enjoyed giving the tour as much as our small group enjoyed hearing about it all. There were smaller details about the town she included as well and it was so obvious that she loves her city and it's history. She did a fantastic job answering questions and we left having a fabulous time learning about it all. Oh, and she even gave us info about the tapas we enjoyed. We had a great time!

Fantastic tour if you love ancient history and sites - Elisa was a wonderful guide. She has vast knowledge and answered all my questions. The weather wasn’t the greatest, rainy and windy. We saw several sites and she suggested several more.

Roman exploration of Cartegena - Fabulous tour, well worth the fee, hugely informative and gave a great insight into the history of Cartegana. Our tour guide Elisa was exceptional, her enthusiasm (being a local Cartegena lady) and her knowledge made the trip worth every penny. If you want to learn and understand the history of the area then this trip is a.must.

Fun tour with tapas & wine! - Pilar was a good guide. She was understandable and kind. She walked very, very slowly. I appreciated her concern for us, but it was really too slow. The commentary was good. The tapa and wine stop was delightful! Delicious and refreshing! The museum was spectacular and very interesting!

Amazing Roman amphitheatre - Arrived in Cartagena and we were amazed by the Roman amphitheatre and presentation of the archaeology.
Access is via the museum and it has informative displays as you make your way to the amphitheatre. We were able to walk around the amphitheatre and take in the site. The archaeological dig is ongoing and will be amazing when it is finished.
Please note all museums in Cartagena are closed on Mondays.

Miss communication - All the signs are the same it is hard to find your group the name of the tour is not in the sign it is hard to hear if you have a tour guide does not speak good english
