Just a short 45-minute drive from Cartagena lies El Volcán de Lodo El Totumo (The Mud Volcano of Totumo). Standing at an elevation of approximately 20 meters (about 50 steps to the top), this volcano features a natural pool filled with mineral-rich volcanic mud, known for its relaxing properties and reputed skin-healing benefits.

Upon ascending the rustic stairs, visitors can gaze into the volcanic pit brimming with thick, smooth volcanic mud, which will soon be applied to their bodies. As they gently descend into the volcano, they can relish the sensation of being enveloped by this therapeutic natural wonder.
