Setting Sail to Paradise

The sun was already casting its golden glow over Cartagena as I made my way to the dock, ready for a day of adventure on the Rosario Islands Catamaran Trip. The air was filled with the salty scent of the sea, and the anticipation of exploring the underwater world was palpable. After a morning of snorkeling, we made our way to the second anchorage in front of Punta Gigante in Barú. Here, we were close enough to swim to the shore, where the vibrant island life awaited. The crew served a delicious lunch on board, a perfect blend of local flavors that satisfied my appetite after the morning’s adventures.

As we relaxed on the catamaran, vendors approached on boats and jet skis, offering everything from fresh seafood to thrilling banana boat rides. While tempting, I heeded the crew’s advice about insurance coverage and opted to simply enjoy the view from the deck. The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the water, and I took a moment to soak it all in.

The day was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, a reminder of the simple joys that island life offers. As we sailed back to Cartagena, I felt a renewed sense of gratitude for the ocean and the endless adventures it provides.
