⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Incredible Rum Experience with Sebas - Sebas did an absolutely amazing job showing us eight different rums — each with its own unique story and flavor. I never truly appreciated rum until now! He shared the history, the process, and even the passion behind how it’s made, and it completely changed the way I see it. The experience felt personal, educational, and so much fun. Sebas is hands-down the best — knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly loves what he does. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for rum and great memories! 🥃👏

Best 2 hours in Cartagena - I had the most fun in my trip to Cartagena learning about Colombian rum, paired with fresh made chocolate and some mouthwatering appetizers. The ladies were very knowledgeable and had the friendliest smile the whole time. By the time we finished I didn’t realized it had been 2 hours already.

Great Rum Experience - Excellent experience, great knowledge of Rum, locations, varieties and styles. Excellent chocolate pairings to match against the rum.

The perfect experience! - There was only my daughter and I at the tasting so we were able to take our time and ask many questions. Sebas was the perfect guide! He was so knowledgeable about the rum- and chocolate-making processes and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. I definitely recommend this tour - and Sebas! - to anyone looking for a unique experience while in Cartagena.

Fantastic experience - We had Alejandra guide us thru our tasting. It was a very relaxed atmosphere which mate it so much fun! She is very knowledgeable about the 8 rums we sampled plus so the time they sell. Her English was very good and we could easily understand what she was saying. She took the time to listen to our feedback and suggested chocolate positions for our individual tastes ( my husband and mine were opposites).

A Required Destination - My wife and me visited El Arsenal’s Rum and Chocolate experience on 02OCT25 for our honeymoon. Our host was Alejandro. Alejandra was ready to receive us outside the establishment early. She was also wearing an apron with the company’s name, which made her easy to find. Alejandra was an absolute pleasure upon a first meeting and throughout the entirety of the experience. She gave us a selection of 8 different alcoholic drinks. The pours were more than enough to obtain a complete flavor profile of each drink. While not all of the drinks hit for me the same way in terms of taste, that was to be expected from a tasting. By my recollection 5-6 out of the drinks were absolutely delicious. I was quite partial to the Parce Rum and the Agaurdiente. I will not spoil what my favorite drink was, but let me say Alejandra made a performance out of making it, which I genuinely enjoyed. Alejandra was profoundly knowledgeable about each drink and informed us about the cultural signage of them as well as the social settings you would likely enjoy them in Columbia. The chocolate portion of the tasting was also too notch and paired with the alcohol in an unexpected, albeit profoundly pleasant way. Additionally, water was provided throughout the experience to help cleanse the palate between tastings. The food sampled during the tasting was also outrageously good. My favorite item was the Casnastilla de Plantino. It was aesthetically beautiful, colorful by way of the peppers, and sufficiently seasoned. Also, it was filling. Following the tasting, Alejandra gave us a tour of where the chocolate was made: Chocolate Co: El Laboratorio. She gave us information on each aspect of how the chit was made as well as its history. Overall, I could not asked for a better experience. Also Alejandra was just the literal best!

Best Tasting - Wes was the best Rum expert for the job. The knowledge Wes shared with each Rum and the reason for pairing them with chocolates was top tier. It was just my partner and I which made it even more special, personal and enjoyable. A must do while in Cartagena!!!

Absoulte MUST in Cartagena - Wes was absolutely amazing 10/10. The experience was top notch. Recommend doing early in your trip to know how to pair which Rum with the experience you desire to have.

The Best Experience - 10/10 Wes is the best man for the job, he is very knowledgeable about Rum and it’s history. It’s a must on day one or two so you know which Rum to order for the rest of your trip from each restaurant or bar you step into.
