Wonderful stay in Paradise - My husband Chris and I spent three wonderful nights at Pao Pao and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Our room was spotless and beautiful with a terrace overlooking the pool. Pao Pao is also a natural reserve of wonderful birds, very pretty and scenic. The resort and the island are very peaceful and ideal if one wants to get away from the business of life and truly recover from stress. We would highly recommend staying overnight as the staff is extremely kind, helpful and attentive, they couldn’t pamper you more! We loved the beach club atmosphere with chilled music on until 3 pm and the quietness of the evenings and nights in communion with nature. It’s perfect place where to do snorkeling as well. The hotel offers different activities, some for a charge and some free. We’ve really enjoyed all of them and we’d particularly recommend the night tour of the bioluminescent plankton in the Enchanted Lagoon-very adventurous to go out on the speedboat at night and magical to see the glitter in the water. We also really loved the tour of the tiny village of Okira on Isla Grande, very interesting to see the real life of the community.
Before coming to Colombia, I was a little apprehensive of the speedboat journey, as I’d read the sea can be rough. However, we had no problems with the speedboat both on the way in and out. It was a solid and comfortable boat and the process was easy and smooth at La Bodeguita. We even had a lovely English speaking guide with us, José, we made us feel at ease as soon as we arrived at the pier. The great staff of Pao Pao met us as soon as we arrived on the island to collect our bags and give us a welcome drink. Thank you to every member of staff for all your hard work and help! A special thank you to the truly lovely and well organized reception Jhon and to our really great guide Eric, who went above and beyond for us. Our only regret is not staying for four or five nights.

A perfect place to rest and savor the delight of the Carthaginian Caribbean - You rating the great teamwork that Frank, the manager, has formed. If we could, we'd come back every vacation. A perfect place to rest and taste the delight of the Carthagenian Caribbean. We will miss them: they made us feel at home.

PAO PAO BEACH - A delicious passé! The Balinese bed was a plus. Lunch is included and was delicious. The drinks were separate but with modified prices. Excellent service, Eric was our server and was super attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!!!

It's not worth taking very early - I was with friends on a walk and they took us out at 2:30 pm in the middle of the sunny day and with calm sea. It's really not worth going. Plus they charge for the towels, what a bad taste.

Awful. - Pao pao has nothing to offer but flies and the birds on top of you, do not have a cheerleader like in bora bora what people put to dance. In pao pao the flies don't let you are all over you all day and they get into your drinks. It was a very bad experience don't go to pao pao.
I went last year to bora bora and I found it magnificent but this year I wanted to change to meet another beach club but it was terrible, it smells ugly because those birds have their nests right there in the trees what is in pao pao.

Make me feel like they are broke and do not care to provide a great experience. - Let me start by saying that I am colombian and know when the value is there and when they rip you off. Pao Pao charges double the money compared to many other beach clubs. I selected that one thinking perhaps it was going to be a extra great experience and worth it. The place is very beautiful and the ambiance is great. Unfortunately it all gets overshadowed by how miserable the owners must be. After paying double for the beach club we got there and were told a bed was Extra money. We paid for it…. After getting the bed I requested 2 towels. I was told they were EXTRA MONEY. Never in my life i have been to a beach club where towels are not included, And I have traveled a lot. It is sad to see the owners of the place simply don't care to provide a complete, happy and valuable experience for their guests and it makes you feel they want to squeeze every cent out of you. Gives the impression they are broke…
