Great Experience - Great experience, it was very organized and Juan, our tour guide, made the experience very smooth and easy. You spend time at Mambo beach club then take a smaller boat to snorkel and see the raccoons. The raccoons were one of the highlights of the trip! Booking through Nexxt was very easy and the provided detailed instructions the night before the tour. They are also very responsive to questions beforehand on whatsapp!

Wonderful experience with Mambo and Miguel! - We truly enjoyed the entire experience! From the beginning, communication with Aisa via WhatsApp was smooth and helpful. Our guide Miguel was super attentive, friendly, and made us feel supported the whole time. The Mambo place is really well organized — you can rent beach beds, lockers, and the restrooms are clean and comfortable (especially considering it’s a beach location). The water is absolutely beautiful, and the food was delicious! Overall, we had a fantastic day and would definitely recommend this tour and the Mambo team.

Awesome time ! - Mike (Miguel) was the best guide we could have asked for !! He was attentive, generous and entertaining! Need more time with the raccoons though. It was too quick and I’m happy I read the reviews and brought my own bread to feed them ! It made it way better for us !! They only bring one banana for the entire boat. Loved the experience as a whole.

Correct , the ratios are all cute - Excursion correct. Guide late by 20 minutes, no excuse and no compensation. Exit to the mangroves not clear and poorly organized even if the excursion is very good. We were cramped on the boat , more than 20 people on a small boat. Club mambo nice but a little small, deckchair to pay!

Scam - The experience we didn't like first we got on a boat in which it was too full and all the people were spied then in the supposed snorkeling was just getting off to take some horrible photos under the sea and you don't have time for anything and really explore the fish, then they took us to see the raccoons and it was just like 5 min and they didn't give you enough time to have the real experience with the raccoons and how full the boat was you couldn't get close to see them well or feed them and to finish they take us to an island where there is nothing and stone to be there without more. I really don't recommend it. It's a complete theft. Upload a few photos they take underwater

A bit dazed and confused throughout.... - They will not pick you up at any hotel as advertised. You will need to meet them at the Pegasus. We were instructed to be there at 7:45, however, they didn’t arrive until after 8 and we did not leave until 8:20. The Mambo Club is somewhat rundown. The only items that are included under 30,000 are the typical fish, chicken, and fried rice. Any specialty items are way overpriced - anywhere between 50 to 90,000 pesos. The ballaniese beach beds are also 120 pesos. There was little communication throughout the day from the guides, and many people did not know when things were happening, which makes it hard to truly relax. The boat ride to snorkel didn't have a ladder to get back in, and may of the life jackets were broken, leaving us feeling a bit unsafe.  However, it is an affordable day on a beautiful beach, so if you are informed and ok with this all, then well worth it.

Poor organisation and communication - Unfortunately very poorly organized. Meeting point unclear, buses dirty with extremely dark windows, air conditioning not adjustable. No information on the procedure on site. The booked mangrove and raccoon trip did not take place for us as we were wrongly only scheduled for the beach stay. Very disappointing, especially since it was our only day in Colombia.

Nexxt Tours a very disappointing experience. - We booked the so-called “magic tour” with Nexxt Tours and the experience was very disappointing. As soon as we arrive in Barú, the state of the site is worrying: waste on the beach and in the sand, improvised structures in poor condition, and a clear lack of environmental control and the presence of the authorities. Pollution is clearly visible and strongly affects the experience. The tour started with a delay of about 30 minutes. The bus was old, without seat belts, and during the journey the driver used his mobile phone, which raised safety concerns. In Mambo Beach and Flamingo Beach, the site was dirty, with a strong smell of gasoline due to the large number of boats and jetskis traveling very close to the shore, sometimes even among swimmers. The chairs included in the package are located inside the club, without sea views and in unhygienic conditions. We paid an extra COP 120,000 for a bed facing the beach, whose structure was damaged, and which was then occupied by other people, forcing us to ask for the intervention of the staff. Sanitary facilities had no water, several showers were not working, and the overall condition of the facilities was very poor in terms of hygiene. The excursion to the mangroves was poorly organized, with no clear communication on the schedule. The boat left overloaded and without adequate safety conditions; some lifejackets were in poor condition and boarding was difficult. The snorkeling activity was the only positive. During the visit, we observed degraded mangroves, accumulation of waste and inappropriately fed wildlife. Lunch was served late. The included dish was medium and you had to pay extra to eat fish like snapper or mackerel. In conclusion, we do not recommend this tour. The price (COP 150 000 per person) is not justified in view of the poor organisation, safety problems and the environmental impact observed. This experience gives the feeling of participating in an unresponsible tourism.

Not to be done - Mass tourism!!! Access to the dangerous boat, there were a few waves, the boat was not moored visiting the mangrove for 5 minutes, they attracted raccoons with chips! As for snorkelling, no fins, no snorkelling, no explanations, duration 15 minutes, had to leave because another group was coming. We still wait to go to Bianca beach. The only good thing, the fish meal but we had to ask 5 times before being served.
