This is a Must Do Tour - This is a must do experience. Daniel was the best teacher. Myself and teenage grandson had an amazing time, the jewelry we made is great and the museum was fascinating.

Fun jewelry making experience and museum tour - None of us had made jewelry before and we had fun. Instructors were very friendly and helpful. We made four pieces: necklace, bracelet, ring, and earrings. The necklace and one other piece is included in the price but if you want to keep them all it is extra (we decided to get everything we made). The museum tour was also very nice. Jera, our guide, was very knowledgeable and presented very well the history and process of emerald mining and jewelry production. The tour ends in their store where you can browse their jewelry much of which is high end (we bought a very nice set of earrings from their store). Transportation was arranged by the guide. Total time from when we were picked up at the port to when we were dropped back off was about 3hrs. Overall fun and engaging experience.

Best place to buy jewelry in Cartagena, Colombia - You learn a lot from the explanation they give about emerald. Excellent attention from the staff, especially Angelica and Tibizay, are very friendly, patient and helpful. This is the second time we are going to Caribe Jewelry and I recommend that whenever you want to buy an emerald jewel, you go there.

A life transforming experience for a future Materials Scientist with cool ideas. - I'm a future metamaterial scientist/engineer who has invented a 3d laser printer for sapphires. This was actually the first jewelry I've ever made and I intend to make amazing jewelry, like a reverse sapphire gold ring where the sapphire is the ring and the gold is the insert set piece. Lasers are very useful. Rubies make lasers and lasers make rubies, it's beautiful. Emerald is much much more difficult and precious and I was able to get several emeralds to try to replicate. I don't think my synthetic emeralds would ruin the natural ones, they would compliment them by allowing scientists to run tests on the synthetic ones to test out techniques for the natural ones. I hope to help Columbia and the world one day to repay the kindness I experienced today. Thank you! I will cherish the amazing hexagonal prism emerald I bought today for the rest of my life.
