The real Cartagena - Entire experience was great. There was so much to learn about to history of this great city. The food at the market was amazing. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t been. Stay hydrated and wear light clothing.

Bicycle Tour was fun and informative. Our host was excellent - Our host Giovanni was very knowledgeable, humorous, and very friendly. He too us to interesting places. When we went to the market to eat, our tables were ready and the service was excellent. The food was excellent and we got to taste a variety of delicious foods. The bicycles were in good condition and easy to maneuver in the streets. At the end of the tour our host waited with us while our rideshare came

Memorable Ride Through the Real Cartagena - Gio and his fiance led the two of us on a wonderful sojourn through Cartegena. Although we're used to riding e-bikes the multi geared MTBs provided worked well on the flat terrain, with just one hill on a bridge requiring some extra exertion. The ride to Bazurto marketplace for the authentic Columbian lunch was not on the greatest roads and with traffic, but OK, and the lunch was indeed a local foodie experience. It seems like a dirty hole in the wall but I had the Mixta, some of everything, with no adverse affects! A very worthwhile experience. It's not gourmet but a taste of real Columbian home cooking. The ride towards the Barrio Getsemani was better and a fascinating spin through that upscale artsy neighborhood was the highlight. My only beef was that at that point we were close to the walled old city but did not venture there. Adding some more time to the ride to do that would make it an over the top experience. We didn't feel like taking a cab there afterwards so we missed out on seeing it. It was nice to ride to the bay for a photo op but it was a very short path along there. Also as a bicycle author I strongly recommend wearing a helmet on this ride, between the road conditions and riding amongst mostly bike unfriendly traffic it's where a helmet works the best preventing injury. We handled riding with the slow moving traffic fine but I wouldn't recommend this ride to the less savvy cyclist. All in all it was a wonderful memorable experience getting to know the real Cartagena, Gio did a great job leading, keeping us as safe as possible, and providing fascinating insight.

Gio is the best guide imaginable!! - This tour was the best way to kick off our time in Cartagena! Gio was absolutely the best guide not only for the tour, but also for the history, accommodations and uniquely detailed cultural immersion during the tour. Giovanni planned everything so meticulously that even some of our random needs were met with still on route such as the need to purchase some necessities. Gio took us to the REAL CARTAGENA and to the amazing local community which was a perfect compliment to the tour and history. Plus, it was a great experience exploring the markets and having fun conversations with Gio over very cold local beers. Side note: Gio takes the best photos too if you’re looking for beautiful places to bookmark your time here. I highly recommend this tour and Gio as the cornerstone to your travel experience in Cartagena!

A really memorable few... - A really memorable few hours! Gio is passionate about Cartagena, and shares generously of his love and knowledge of its history and its people. The market is a real off-the-beaten path experience, and Getsemaní is a fascinating neighborhood that deserves to be explored and admired. In a city full of "touristy" experiences this one stood out as the most authentic and from the heart. Recommended to anyone who wants to experience the real Cartagena. Thanks Gio!

The best way to see Cartagena by far!! - Although we had a little bit of a hiccup finding our tour guide, once we found him, we had a fantastic day! Gio was so incredibly knowledgable of the area and its history that it was completely enthralling listening to him. Without a doubt, this was the best way to see Cartagena because we, for sure, saw areas of Cartagena that regular tourists cannot get to by bus. The market and lunch at Cecilia's was a once in a lifetime experience and the coconut rice was to die for. In addition to the less touristy areas of Cartagena that we saw, we still got to see the hot spots and bc we were on bikes, we saw them up close instead of just as a driveby. Also, Gio was not only knowledgable, he was an excellent lead rider. On several occasions, he stopped in the middle of the road to stop traffic so that we could cross safely. Although the bike riding was not for the faint of heart, it was totally worth it. I am a 60 yo not particularly athletic woman who did it successfully, so if you are even remotely interested in this tour, don't let that stop you. My only complaint of the whole trip is that the bicycle seats were small and uncomfortable for me and my husband, but we were given many opportunities for breaks which made it tolerable.

Enjoy an afternoon off the beaten path! - I think this tour was overpriced for what you get, especially considering you have to spend extra money just to get to and from the starting point. That said, our tour guide was very informative and brought great energy once we arrived at Cecilia Restaurant. The food there was very good and definitely worth the visit. It was also cool to get out of the walled city and explore places that felt more off the beaten path, which added a different perspective to our trip.

Big Booty Battle - We’ve done bike tours before and if the company does not have padded seat covers for those of us who are well endowed it quickly becomes uncomfortable. It should be a serious consideration for these companies. Traveling with a padded seat cover is cumbersome. We all woke up sore. Otherwise the tour guide was informative , the sightseeing was good, and the pace was doable. The food was…..just ok.

Bike routes way too congested. - We ended up having to abort the excursion because my sister became ill from the heat. The guide Jesus was wonderful insuring I got safely to an Uber back to ship. We talked to other friends on this excursion and they the biking was awful and the guides did not have a route that was safe for biking. The guides got too far ahead of the group and should have had a guide in front and back of group. Normally you take guided bike tours to insure most of the ride is not in an area so highly congested with traffic.
