- VINS & VINOS CARCASSONNE WINE SHOP - Enjoy a relaxed and informal wine tasting and tutorial featuring some of the finest wine and food producers from Languedoc and Roussillon. Seated comfortably at our tasting table in an air-conditioned room, participants will learn to appreciate wine and taste like a professional. Discover how to pair wine with a selection of regional foods, identify key flavors and aromas, and explore what makes Languedoc one of the most exciting wine regions in the world today. The session covers the history of winemaking from Roman times to the present, discussing important topics such as organic and natural wines and the impact of regionality on wine flavor. Participants will explore the uniqueness of Languedoc by tasting key local varietal wines and some of the region’s finest blends. The wines sampled range in price from €15 to €50, with at least six different wines accompanied by local cheeses, charcuterie, tapas, olives, and organic bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Whether as an evening or lunchtime activity, participants will find they won’t need to eat afterwards! These tastings are available in English, French, or Spanish.

Participants will enjoy a presentation and tasting of seven to eight wines, paired with a cheese and charcuterie platter. Guests will learn the art of wine tasting, explore the local wine history, and discover insights into winemaking and grape varieties. Feel free to ask any questions and enhance your understanding of the region’s wines. While the minimum booking is for two people, individual guests are welcome to join pre-scheduled tastings.
