Arrival at the Ranch

As the sun began its descent over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I found myself on a journey to the foot of the Andes, eager to experience the Horseback Riding and Mountain Roast adventure in Mendoza. The drive from the city was a scenic prelude to what lay ahead, with the majestic mountains looming ever closer. Upon arrival at the ranch, I was greeted by a lively ensemble of farm animals, including massive, friendly dogs and, of course, the stars of the day—adorable horses.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the scent of fresh lemonade wafting through the air as we waited to be assigned our horses. I was paired with a beautiful black horse named Sino, whose gentle demeanor immediately put me at ease. As someone who spends much of her time advocating for wildlife preservation, I was thrilled to be in the company of such magnificent creatures, each one a testament to the natural beauty of this region.

The Ride Through the Andes

With a gentle nudge, Sino and I joined the group, embarking on a trek through the stunning landscapes of the Andes. The path was a mix of hills and plains, each turn revealing a new vista more breathtaking than the last. As a novice rider, I found the experience both exhilarating and a bit daunting, especially when the horses would break into a gallop to keep pace with one another.
