The trip to Daintree was... - The trip to Daintree was cancelled due to the cyclone last month that had blocked part of the route. Thankfully we were advised to do a different tour and visit another rain forest. It was a marvelous day. We saw such beautiful places and our guide, Frank, was exceptional.

Don't Miss This Tour - Awesome Experiences! - We visited the Daintree Rainforest which was absolutely amazing! Such incredible vegetation and wildlife. Our tour guide Rick was a wealth of knowledge - so much so that other tour guides were asking him questions! Clearly he enjoys what he does because his passion was evident. He knew the names of the trees, vines and wildlife and gave us insight into "bouncing rocks" and aboriginal culture and tribal markings. He brought us to a completely empty beach with the most amazing views, the tour buses went one way and we went another! Lunch at a wonderful restaurant was delicious and it was followed by homemade ice cream in the most amazing flavors from fruits grown on the property. I would highly recommend this tour - Rick was so great and we left with so much information and memories. We also went on a river tour of the Daintree searching for crocodiles and snakes. We saw a tree snake, various lizards, nests and several "baby' crocs. Captain Bill was awesome - knowledgable and hilarious!

The Daintree tour is a must-do on your list! - We booked 6 excursions on our trip to Australia, and by far, this was the best one. Even though it rained all day, the Daintree tour was masterfully handed by Cary, a VERY knowledgeable guide. He was able to seamlessly pivot during the day accounting for the poor weather, teaching us about Daintree and so much more. We never felt rushed, and really enjoyed his company. I highly recommend this tour.

Clayton's tour of the Daintree Rainforest! - We did the Daintree Wanderer tour with Australian Luxury Escapes as a family of 5 on our trip to Cairns from India on Dec 19th. Clayton, our tour guide, was excellent and we can't recommend him enough. He was extremely hospitable and took great care of us, as well as the family of 6 Americans who joined us on the tour. Among the many highlights of our trip were the beautiful river cruise, many stunning look out points we stopped at, beautiful sandy beaches and the walk through the spectacular rainforest. From the time he picked us up at 6:30 am in the morning, Clayton kept supplying us with a steady stream of interesting tidbits about Australia. His passion for the environment was clearly evident throughout the trip as he pointed out many plants, trees, animals and insects that we wouldn't even have known to look for. What was truly amazing was that his energy was very high and didn't flag even towards the end of a long day as he continued to keep the group entertained with a Rainforest quiz and riddles! We would like to thank ALE and Clayton for this amazing trip and for helping us create a forest full of memories to bring back home! The Shankar family

Varied and exceptional tour..expertise and passion by guide Rick - We were picked up on time at our hotel and everything from there on out was perfectly organized. We walked the boardwalks in Daintree learning as we went. Cruised the river searching for the crocodilles...they were not visible on our cloudy cool day. We did see a tree snake and a number of birds. Lunch was an exceptional treat with rescued wallabees to feed and the house python hanging out in the tree while we lunched. The beach stop was interesting. Can't get used to crocodile warnings! The coffee/tea break was a nice touch as was the unique ice cream experience. Rick was a fountain of info on the rainforest. Very enjoyable day.
