- Upper Leeuwen Street - This fabric jewelry workshop is hosted at the home studio in Bo Kaap. Participants will have the opportunity to connect over a beverage—coffee, tea, juice, etc.—accompanied by local music. The workshop introduces a distinctive South African fabric known as shweshwe, and participants will learn to craft it into vibrant jewelry pieces, such as a necklace and a bracelet, or two necklaces, or two bracelets. Creations made during the workshop can be taken home and make excellent gifts or wearable mementos.
Additionally, a selection of ready-made shweshwe jewelry from the collection will be available for purchase at a 10% discount, subject to availability. Both cash and card payments are accepted.
Please be aware that the workshop lasts 1.5 hours for up to 3 guests. An extra 30 minutes will be added for each additional guest beyond 3. For example:
3 guests - 1.5 hours
4 guests - 2 hours
5 guests - 2.5 hours

Shweshwe, a fabric indigenous to South Africa that carries a deep historical significance, is the material we’ll be using to create our hypoallergenic jewelry thanks to its 100% cotton composition. Our brand bears a poignant yet heartwarming backstory honoring the creator’s mother. Additionally, we will be accompanied by local music to establish the ambience during our workshop.
